Get directionsI hired Proline Plumbing to fix a backed-up basement drain. They charged me $1330 for 45 minutes of work, which seemed steep, but I trusted they resolved the issue. It's worth saying this was considered "after hours" - I believe they charged $200 to drive to my place in inner SE, and $230 to "evaluate the issue", and $900 to "run a snake 15 feet". Unfortunately, I wasn't home at the time to verify, and when I returned the next day, the drain remains clogged. Plumber was kind and explained what he was doing when we spoke o... read more

Hi Taylor. Yes, you called us out after hours for a backed up sewer line. Our technician was on site for over two hours and did not leave until midnight. When he left the line was running. He suggested a sewer scope, to check the integrity of the sewer line due to the fact this is a 1923 home, but you declined the service. You could have a line separation or root intrusion, which is very common in homes of this age. I am sorry you are still having plumbing issues. You should have a camera scope to determine what exac... read more
Proline provided and installed one of their A.O. Smith propane hot water heaters in our home 5 years ago at a cost of over $2,000. and as two elderly seniors we thought that it would last us the rest of our days. A week ago we woke to no hot water, called Proline and they sent a tech out who found the that the gas valve and pilot sensor had failed. The parts were still under warranty, but it would cost $70. for the service call, and $150. for them to call the manufacturer just to get approval to order the replacement part... read more

I am sorry you feel this way Tim. Yes, we did install a water heater five years ago. Your water heater was still under parts warranty by the manufacturer. The labor warranty had expired as you mentioned, so you are responsible to pay labor fees. Our technician let you know what parts needed to be replaced and told you that you could call the manufacturer and order the parts yourself to save some money, but you declined. I don’t know how long you have been out of the workforce, but wages, gas, insurance, etc., etc. have ... read more
I had ProLine come out to downtown Camas with a high $300 fee just to come out, which they know puts you in a position not being able to shop around. The work needed to be done right away for my tenants, and they over charged me a wopping $2419 just to replace a tub drain with a working stopper, stopped the tub from dripping with some "O" rings and snaked the basement sewer line. They did shawty work and didn't warrant their work too, as the sewer line backed up again and they wouldn't come back out. So I had to hire another... read more

Hi Ron, I am sorry you are not pleased with the service you received. I believe there is confusion with a few of the details listed. We did not charge $300 to come on site. You initially called for an emergency appointment for same day after hours service. If we had serviced after hours, the fee to come on site would have been closer to the $300. You opted for service the next day at our standard rates. While on site we serviced two different units – we supplied and replaced a bathroom faucet, replaced the tub waste an... read more
3/18/2024 $150 show up fee is not including any work what so ever. I'm appalled that it would cost $500 dollars just to do a diagnostic on a leak on a shower. Thats $500 for no repairs only diagnostic. I did not pay for the service. Below this this comment the manager is saying it was $289 but is leaving out the information about the multiple other fees. It adds up to $500 for a diagnosis, not $289.
Business response:
Jeremy, your property management company called us to locate the source of a leak presenting in a basement area. They approved $69 for tech to arrive on site and $75 for inspection/diagnostic. Our technician determined that leak detection was necessary for $289, which included creating access in drywall in the ceiling and walls, etc to determine the source of the leak which you declined. If you are able to provide access and cleanup and locate the area of the leak yourself, we are certainly able to make the plumbing repai... read more
Called Proline looking for someone to detect an underground water main leak. She said that they had someone with detection equipment who could find my leak and made me an appointment. 6 days later, a Proline service person showed up with no equipment or intention to find the leak. He just gave me an estimate for their leak detection person to come out and charged me $130 for his service call. I called Proline and requested a refund because I did not get the leak detection service I requested. The lady said she would listen ... read more

Our technician arrived on site to assess the situation of high water usage. The water line was CPVC with no trace wire. There were no visible areas of water pooling. The distance from the meter to the home along with the fact there was no trace wire made for difficult conditions. Our technician quoted to have another technician with specialized equipment come out, but you declined.
I sold my house on 11/05/2023 with a 30 day escrow. The buyer took 2 1/2 weeks to get the inspection done and their inspector said I had a bathtub valve leaking into the crawl space. I called American Home Shield and found out that my home warranty policy covered it. They sent NW Sundance Plumbing to fix it. After their plumber went down into the crawl space and looked around, he found the main drain from the bathtub was actually leaking. He said that they could fix it, but it was a two man job and couldn't come back until 1... read more
Business response:
Hi Barry, yes, we do have a crawl space fee. It was disclosed before we went into the crawl space to diagnose the issue. We have to do our own investigation to ensure the information we received is accurate - many times it is not. I'm glad you have gotten your leak taken care of.
Good after hours service. However, we had several tub and shower valve bodies replaced previously. That being said, when I pay for after hours service and request to have another valve body replaced for a tub that will not shut off, I expect not to be charged a "diagnostic fee". The job was to replace the valve body. We already knew the valve bodies were severely worn. It felt a little like a money grab.
Business response:
Hi Daniel, we appreciate the feedback. I am glad our technician was able to take care of your plumbing issue.
Scammed us out of services not even needed. This was proven by city water officials. Very unprofessional workers while at house screaming across house to each other. Leaving front door open as they worked. No concern about the customer. Substandard work and knowledge of the system.
Business response:
Lana, I am sorry you feel this way. We were called out because you were not receiving adequate hot water in your bathtub. Our technician determined that you had a bad mixing valve. We were able to get authorization from your warranty company and install a new one during that visit. Your husband, who was home during the visit, seemed quite pleased with the service we provided. Before our technician left, he tested your water pressure. His gauge showed your pressure was very high. We let you know that high pressure can d... read more
***I read the one star reviews and decided to give this company a shot anyway. *** Our utility company informed us we had a potential water leak, we scoured the house and found no sign of water, so we determined it was likely in the main line. We googled "leak detection" to see if a professional could help us locate where exactly the leak was. We found Proline. Scheduling was easy and a tech came out to look at our problem the next day, however they charged us almost $150 for "leak detection" services where the tech check... read more
