Beware of this company!! My home warranty company contacted Proline to fix a faucet leak in my kitchen sink. Prior to them arriving three friends who work in the trades industry looked at the leak and confirmed that it was only the faucet that was the problem but they didn't have the skills to help. Proline's plumber however stated I would need valves replaced and/or installed and that it would cost an extra $700 in addition to what the home warranty covered. He stated I needed to "update" everything to today's standards s... read more

Business response:

Hi Debra, I am sorry you are not satisfied with the service you received. Our technician did recommend faucet replacement. The issue with your angle stop is that you have a double angle stop. These are not allowed in current plumbing code. If a plumber makes a repair/replacement on a system, they are required to bring it up to current plumbing code. The fact that you had another plumber replace the faucet without the proper code upgrades is quite concerning. You had also mentioned we created an issue with your angle s... read more

Very arrogant and not very professional tech arrived at our home. We had a problem with the sewer (grinder) pump. I did not have a chance to remove the tank cover in the driveway before I left for work. All he did was drive look in the control box noticed the tank cover wasn't removed and said he would send an estimate to remove it. Then charged the $69.99 house call fee (that was fine) and added a $75.00 diagnostic fee which was BS! He insisted and since I wasn't there she paid because he was an intimidating guy. The next d... read more

Business response:

Kevin, I am sorry you were not pleased with the service you received. You are correct, we would not let our technician remove the concrete cover to your system by hand – it is 4x4 feet and was missing a handle and weighed too much and we did not want to risk injury to our technician. The septic pumping company also refused to remove the cover. Your grinder pump is old, (we estimated it to be over 20 years old and in poor condition) and we recommend replacing the pump. Average life of a grinder pump is 10 years. We did no... read more

Buyer beware! They will blame you if something goes wrong and not stand behind their product or service. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else!

Business response:

Hi Pamela, It is unfortunate you decided to call another company to come and service your issue. We do offer a one year warranty for parts and labor, but you need to call us and have us service. I hope everything works out okay for you.

I had a sewer pump go out at my home and called Proline Plumbing to fix or replace my pump. The service Technition, (I use this title loosely) arrived took one look at the job and immediately commented he did not want to do the work with a very poor attitude. I had used Proline in the past with a good outcome but obviously this company has since changed their customer service policy. They billed me a high service call amount and left the job unfinished!

Business response:

Hi Jack, I am sorry you were displeased with the service you received. When you scheduled your same day emergency appointment, you told us the water to your home was off and you had a new ejection pump on site for us to install since yours was not working. Our technician discovered you had a sump pump used for rain water - not a grinder pump for sewage. He found a temporary fix for your current pump to get the water to your home back on and your toilets working. You would be required to plug the pump in a couple of times... read more

Pure robbery, indeed. My neighbor's toilet overflowed on November 1st and some clean water leaked into my condo beneath hers. I called ServPro who recommended that Proline meet their rep here to verify that there was no continuing leaking problem and they met here on November 3rd. ServPro's rep did both audio and video recordings showing water continuously running and swirling in the bowl, but Proline proclaimed that there was no leak and left quickly. The water was continuing to run until just recently when a retired firema... read more

Business response:

Hi Sherry, As we discussed on the phone, we were called for a toilet stoppage for your neighbor. The toilet was clear when we left on 11.03.21. I am sorry to hear you are having a leak two and a half months later. The two circumstances are not connected.

Pure robbery. Please do yourself a favor and move on. I had two different men from this company come into my home and not solve anything. Long story short, there was a leak I knew was coming from the bathtub. NO ONE COULD FIGURE IT OUT because they wanted to rush out. Currently, still having the leaking issue and I am short $700 dollars thanks to Proline. I heard it was hard to get a reliable plumber but my goodness this was just embarrassing.

Business response:

Hi Cassie, I am sorry to hear you are not pleased with the service you received. Visit #1 our technician found an issue with the upstairs shower valve. The valve was lose so he disassembled it and reassembled it. He spoke to the homeowner at the time and let her know that if this did not hold she would need a new shower valve - parts for the current one are no longer available. Visit #2 was for a different issue - one of the faucets in the master bathroom was leaking all over and under the cabinet. Our technician let the... read more

Used Proline as they are a contracted provider through my 2-10 warranty. First point of contact, they stated they were at my house and waited 45 minutes. My son and daughter were there, Proline was not. I had already waited quite some time for this appointment. Appointment was R/S'd. I get a window of 3pm to 7 pm, so once again have to leave work early. 6:55 pm I get a phone call that they can't find the house, which is strange considering they had already waited there "supposedly" already there on 11/10. Plumber shows up, i... read more

Man did they seem to do their business in a manner averse to the customer's best interest. I had a toilet that was leaking and needed a new toilet rebuild kit and an angle stop valve. Simple fix for parts that are very cheap. Ended up dropping the price of a brand new toilet AND the installation. I accept the cost for diagnostics and service fee due to it being provided up front, but the cost for a new angle stop at $150??? They told me the cost included labor, but there was already a separate labor and repair cost quoted fo... read more

Business response:

Brendan, I am sorry you feel this way. You called for an emergency same day appointment, yes, same day appointments are more expensive than scheduling for a future date. We had a technician on site within an hour. They diagnosed and repaired the issue with your toilet by performing a full rebuild. You approved all charges before work began. I am glad our technicians were able to get you up and running so quickly.

I needed a tankless water heater repaired. I called the dispatcher and told them I had a tankless water heater with the exact error code. The technician arrived and was eager to help and pleasant. however, he had no idea what to do with a tankless water heater. I told him based on the error it needed a new igniter. He said he would look into and called the company who told him what I told him. He then proceeded to take the vent off which was not part of the error code and told me there was no bird nest in it. The vent is 2... read more

Business response:

Hi Fred, We appreciate your feedback. Yes, you called for emergency Sunday service, and this does cost more than weekday service. Often times, we are able to get water heaters up and running without parts or replacement. Until we completed a full diagnostic, we did not know what was wrong with your unit. Our technician called Rinnai tech support who walked him through troubleshooting your unit. He was instructed to check the venting since error code 11 can result from a number of different issues, including condensatio... read more
