Do NOT call these snakes in the grass ! Be warned ! We called them for a leak in our water main was quoted $ 65.00 for them to come out then $75.00 for a diagnostic? What exactly did they mean by diagnostic? I told the ( let's be kind and call him a plumber) what the issue was and showed him where it was he dug in the soft (wet) ground and exposed the 3/4plastic water main, cut in half where the water was coming out of a pinhole in the pipe, installed an $8.00 plastic coupler, was at our house for just under 2 hrs., and... read more

Business response:

Jim your review is disappointing and quite frankly, not accurate. We were initially called out for a sewer smell in your back yard. Once on site, our technician determined that you had a leak in your main water line. The repair pricing was quoted and approved by Ann (the homeowner) before the repair was completed. She actually gave us a 5-Star review stating she was very pleased with the service. Yes, there was a billing problem that the technician discussed with you while on site and our office processed a partial refu... read more

7/3/23 Update - STILL Feeling Pretty Ignorant for Using Proline Plumbing and counting on previous (Google) reviews. Summary - $800 for a tub drain and less than an hour's worth of work is, quite honestly, a ripoff. The (supposed) professional plumber overlooked a very obviously incorrectly installed tub drain, then after already charging me $800, wanted another $1,700 to fix something that took me about 15 minutes and $4 to fix after they left. Take a look at the bill. That was for well less than an hour's worth of work, ... read more

Business response:

Bill, I am sorry you are not pleased with the service you received. You called stating you had issues with your shower valve. When our technician arrived, you had the valve trim removed, the tub spout off and the sheetrock behind the shower opened. In order for our technician to diagnose the issue, he had to reassemble the tub spout and shower trim. He located a leak coming from behind the tub spout. You were there watching him and you agreed with this assessment. With your approval, he replaced the tub spout. Upon fi... read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! BAD COMPANY!I called for an estimate of a new main line to run to my house. I was charged $150 for 20 minutes of the persons time. The guy was very friendly and helpful but I was told that I would be sent an estimate and 10 hours later, nothing. I called another local company, they came out at NO CHARGE and provided me an estimate within 10 minutes. I feel completely ripped off by this. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I don't feel that $150 for a simple estimate is justified. UPDATE: 2 days later the... read more

Business response:

Hi Brian, I am sorry you are not pleased with our service. You called stating you thought you had a leak. Our fee was quoted to you when you scheduled your appointment. Our technician went onsite and diagnosed the issue and found the solution to your problem was to replace your main water line. We did provide a replacement estimate within 48 hours of our visit. This is a very busy season and I am sorry we were not able to get it to you sooner.

BEWARE!! Get a quote first!! Be prepared to be misdiagnosed and overcharged! I had Pro-Line come to fix a hot water heater and a leaky pipe connection. This took less than 2 hours and I was charged $953 with no parts used. As Tony was leaving I noticed he had broken a piece of trim on my door and I asked him to repair it which he was not happy about and he then reinstalled it upside down. A week later the hot water heater stopped working again. Even though they say" 100% customer guarantee", they quoted me a minimum of 3 to ... read more

Business response:

Hi Beverly, Thank you for sharing your concerns. You called initially for an Emergency Saturday appointment stating you had the space rented out and needed hot water for your renters. We do not have regular service on the weekends and our emergency pricing is higher than a weekday appointment scheduled in advance. We did pre-quote you our emergency fee and diagnostic fee when you made the appointment letting you know repair costs would in addition. When our technician arrived, your unit was showing an ignition failure. Yo... read more

the continuing saga of the incompetence and expense of Proline Plumbing. the first supposedly licensed plumber in addition to misdiagnosing the leak in our shower also installed a new flapper in a toilet ($90 charge) to stop an intermittent leak and it failed as well and the toilet is back to its periodic leak and refill. this company is expensive and incompeten. not a great combination in a plumbing contracto. WARNING STAY CLEAR of these crooks. our attorney suggests we file a small claims case.

Business response:

Hi David, I am sorry you are not pleased with the service you received. We were initially called out to repair a leaking cpvc pipe located inside of a wall feeding your shower. The restoration company had already opened the wall and located the leak. We replaced the defective area of cpvc and stopped the leaking. The next day you called back stating our repair was leaking. We sent out a technician who found that our repair was not leaking, your shower valve was leaking. We had let you know if the repair we made had a p... read more

Beware of this company!! My home warranty company contacted Proline to fix a faucet leak in my kitchen sink. Prior to them arriving three friends who work in the trades industry looked at the leak and confirmed that it was only the faucet that was the problem but they didn't have the skills to help. Proline's plumber however stated I would need valves replaced and/or installed and that it would cost an extra $700 in addition to what the home warranty covered. He stated I needed to "update" everything to today's standards s... read more

Business response:

Hi Debra, I am sorry you are not satisfied with the service you received. Our technician did recommend faucet replacement. The issue with your angle stop is that you have a double angle stop. These are not allowed in current plumbing code. If a plumber makes a repair/replacement on a system, they are required to bring it up to current plumbing code. The fact that you had another plumber replace the faucet without the proper code upgrades is quite concerning. You had also mentioned we created an issue with your angle s... read more

Very arrogant and not very professional tech arrived at our home. We had a problem with the sewer (grinder) pump. I did not have a chance to remove the tank cover in the driveway before I left for work. All he did was drive look in the control box noticed the tank cover wasn't removed and said he would send an estimate to remove it. Then charged the $69.99 house call fee (that was fine) and added a $75.00 diagnostic fee which was BS! He insisted and since I wasn't there she paid because he was an intimidating guy. The next d... read more

Business response:

Kevin, I am sorry you were not pleased with the service you received. You are correct, we would not let our technician remove the concrete cover to your system by hand – it is 4x4 feet and was missing a handle and weighed too much and we did not want to risk injury to our technician. The septic pumping company also refused to remove the cover. Your grinder pump is old, (we estimated it to be over 20 years old and in poor condition) and we recommend replacing the pump. Average life of a grinder pump is 10 years. We did no... read more

Buyer beware! They will blame you if something goes wrong and not stand behind their product or service. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else!

Business response:

Hi Pamela, It is unfortunate you decided to call another company to come and service your issue. We do offer a one year warranty for parts and labor, but you need to call us and have us service. I hope everything works out okay for you.

I had a sewer pump go out at my home and called Proline Plumbing to fix or replace my pump. The service Technition, (I use this title loosely) arrived took one look at the job and immediately commented he did not want to do the work with a very poor attitude. I had used Proline in the past with a good outcome but obviously this company has since changed their customer service policy. They billed me a high service call amount and left the job unfinished!

Business response:

Hi Jack, I am sorry you were displeased with the service you received. When you scheduled your same day emergency appointment, you told us the water to your home was off and you had a new ejection pump on site for us to install since yours was not working. Our technician discovered you had a sump pump used for rain water - not a grinder pump for sewage. He found a temporary fix for your current pump to get the water to your home back on and your toilets working. You would be required to plug the pump in a couple of times... read more
