The PSECU Founders card’s is a great general purpose card with no categories to track or activate. It gives a flat 2 percent cash back (I think you get 1.5% if you don’t have direct deposit)
Rate and payments are fine, the app is very easy to use however sometimes I have seen movements or transactions which were not authorized by me.
Wonderful credit union all around staff is always very helpful. Online access is user friendly and mobile app works quickly and accurately.
PSECU is awesome! General banking is great. Credit Card lending is great. I’ve never had a better banking experience in the 25 years I’ve had a bank account. Everyone I’ve ever spoke with has been friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I can’t recommend them enough!
I have been a member of PSECU for over 25 years. I am especially grateful for their Fraud Department. John Bucher, Manager of Card Fraud, stated in a 2007 "Update" issue: "We like to find fraud before our members do. His staff will call an individual to confirm the suspected transaction. John's staff keeps a careful watch . . . and will confirm questionable activity with the member. " I wrote that statement down and kept it with the intent of writing a review long before now. After switching to PSECU from my Pittsburgh based bank a few years ago I have been nothing but happy. When I recently applied for a Mortgage things only got better. Were were on a tight deadline but the the staff were extremely helpful and quick to respond. We were able to start and end the whole buying process in 10 days. Plus we got a very good interest rate. And the amount of final paperwork we needed to sign was so little that the realtors remarked that they've never had such a short final signing.
The union is really good to establish a credit line and then eventually reap the benefits, as they really do credit members who have been with the establishment for a long time. Also, convenient for a college student, the minimum deposit and balances remain low so that the student does not lose their account.
Using the PSECU was able to give me a lot of flexibility, as the bank was located on my school's campus in the union building. They provide great interest on loans for those looking to purchase vehicles, and overall were very easy to work with. They also come with a lot of perks for ATM and banking such as fees for using other bank's ATMs being covered.
