Uses Way Too Much Tape I like this label maker except for the waisted tape. I realize they make more money if you have to buy tape all of the time, but this one is ridiculous. I don't recommend this.

NO CHARGER INCLUDED This comes WITHOUT a charger. Says on the box it's "optional" but the machine can be used with aaa batteries. It does not get enough power from batteries to even turn on. Would not recommend.

Beware! Read Carefully! Before you buy, make sure you realize this product does NOT come with a charging cord! It is ac/dc and is offered to purchase. Hard to believe something comes without a plug!

Broken after 2 uses I'm not sure what happened, but I used my label maker a handful of times, and when I pulled it out today it was dead. I changed the 6 AAA batteries thinking that was it, but no. Apparently this is just a very fragile label maker. I'm going to find a different brand label maker to replace this one with.

Not easy to use! Print quality is great once you figure out the printer.

Horrible customer support from Brother ! I received the item the next day after I ordered it. Right after I got it from the delivery guy, I opened it and tried it right away because I need it very badly. I first tried to plug it on the wall using AC adaptor and it turned on. But after 10 secs it showed a message "BATTERY EMPTY" and it turned off automatically. So, I unplugged it and put new fresh 6 - AAA batteries. It turned on and then after 10 secs it showed the same message, "BATTERY EMPTY'. so what I did, I plugged it ba... read more

Good for periodic use Where do I start? Well it works so there's that. That's about the only good. So the bad, it doesn't have an option to clear the font unless you want to set the font size and everything else back to factory settings. So you'll be stuck hitting backspace to clear your last label. The cartridges last us about a week before the label tape runs out. The amount of wasted label tape is about 2 inches per label. So if you're just doing labels here and there it will do the job. Don't waste your money otherwise.

Useless "customer service". The screen was so dim I couldn't read it. I tried to phone but the wait was said to be "over ten minutes". I tried "chat" but the tech was having trouble forming a written sentence. I gave up and sent it back.

Eats batteries You get a very small sample label cartridge with the machine. I was very careful to just make my labels and then turn off the machine. I still needed to replace the batteries before I had to replace the label cartridge. I don't think I made 8 labels on the initial 6 batteries. Needless to say, I've purchased the AC converter now.
