Good label maker, BUT . . . First, I will say that I like this labeler, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a reasonably-priced label maker. I have had other Brother products, and generally like them. In this case I was torn between this model, which must be plugged into a PC, and a model which had the capability of generating stand-alone labels. I also wanted to be able to print address labels one at a time. I finally decided on this model because although my existing Brother labeller can print stand-alone, I had nev... read more
when it works with a MAC to works well I love the versatility of this labeler but sometime it just does not respond to print commands with my iMAC. I try multiple tricks (not sure which ones actually work other than re connecting) and finally I can get a label to print. I own several Brother products that work well with MACs but this one needs a little software updating. Online help is mediocre also.
Good product My Brother PT-P700 label maker is working very good as they advertised. It looks very nice, but little bigger than I expected. When I received it, additional software installation was not needed, but just needed connecting with PC by USB cable. I still like this label printer.
It's good, but not that good. Works great, easy to connect and if you want to you don't need to install the software. Looks great. Its a really good looking product, feels well made too. Its big, not quite portable, it comes with a AC adapter so I won't even think in put batteries in there. You can contact this to your Mac and start to print labels right away, no "easy 15 steps" to follow, just plug, type and print. Can handle almost every kind and size of TZ (or TZe) labels, useful if you need the extra strength ones. CONS:... read more
I can use any font I want?!?! I admit it, I am a font addict. There is no support group for it, so I just embrace it! :) I have found many great labelers out there, but was hesitant because they just didn't have the ability to print more than a couple handfuls of fonts. I wanted it all, so I bought this :) Simple Connectivity-No software or drivers needed; Just connect via included USB cable to get started *To be honest, I didn't just plug it in and go. I saw the Installer CD and popped it in, so whether or not it is needed,... read more
Worth buying! Neat & Compact. Resizeable fonts. Remembers label formats if you want it to. Very nice to use. Easy to change to different cartridges of different label sizes and colours!
Great Concept, poor execution I really don't want to review this Brother PT-P700 label maker. But I can't put it off any longer. I've had this thing for a few weeks and I just can't get it to work with my Mac (running OSX Mavericks). Maybe my version of OSX is too new, maybe the drivers just aren't working. Whatever it is, I am frustrated and I am giving up. I know other people have gotten it to work but I just don't have time to mess with it right now. I am giving it 3 stars based on other Brother products I have used worki... read more
Great for aa PC, Mac not as easy... The Brother PT-P700 is a small 3.1" x 6.0" x 5.6" 1.6lb printer that can run off the included power adapter or 6 AA batteries. Built in software means you can plug in the device and without installing any programs run the program on the internal memory and print labels quickly and easily. The PT-P700 has three buttons: power, cutter, and Ptouch. The Ptouch button enables or disables the built in USB drive with the software. When powered on the USB drive is active and the cutter is not norm... read more
