A bucket of lies Rate Genius called me about 3 weeks ago but when they called me they told me that they were Coastal Federal Credit Union. Last October, we purchased 2 new vehicles from a Chevy dealer in my area and, apparently, I had been approved for a loan through the credit union at that time. Rude Extremely unprofessional. I applied with Alliance (who apparently is affiliated with RateGenius) who referred me to a local dealership for a car check (VIN, etc.). The dealership gave me two options, to trade in my current car or to refinance my current loan on my car, and they were a little pushy re trade-in (and I love my car now), so I just called back Alliance and asked them to see what they can do without me having to deal directly with the dealership again. no good My sales guy lied to me. They added on all kinds of things that wasn't on my car. They didn't even have the right model. I told him to fix it and he said he couldn't without me paying money down. I don't know what changed but stay away if you can.
Rude and unproffesional.. I recently ALMOST refinanced my loan with these people and let me tell you this, I am so glad I didn't. First off, the ghetto, illiterate lady named shila sounded like she had no education whatsoever over the phone. I emailed her my ss card about 5 times only for her to tell me I didnt, and don't get me started on the loan agent who sneaked in the gap on my paperwork. I am so upset. I do NOT recommend this company to ANYONE!
I was approved but shopped around Their loan guy was pushy didn't like I was going to shop around and told him I accepted loan else where. He told me the other companies were the real people who were ripping people off (people like capital one, etc). Then today get email saying they declined my loan due to credit and that it may not have been my credit that affected the decision but that they couldn't find me a better rate than I had. Your company is a joke,i recieved all this bull crap on how because of my good credit i was pre approved to apply for refinancing and then when i applied you get the rude customer service rep who really doesnt know how to explain on why you didnt qualify.Then why send me a letter and get my hopes up high. Just take me off the mailing list and i hope that i never get another letter like this again!!!!!
Very bad exp, i can not rate this.. I have applied for Auto Refinance with this company. After one day, they sent out a email saying that i got an approval for refinanceing. Than i made a call and started discussion. that guy is saying rate of interest is 4.49. so i caluclated myself using internet Car Loan Caluclater( You can google it and you can find lot o caluclaters) my exisiting loan amount with 4.49 amount for 5 years. it is not matching with his figure. Their lack of effort was amazing.. I applied for a consolidation online. I didn't hear anything from them. Three days later I received an email stating my application was terminated. My credit is good. I just bought a home a month ago. I do not recommend. Go with a real company.
