suspicious Applied.. hours later accepted. Sent me the paperwork and the numbers don't match I would end up paying more with them even with a lower monthly payment. Asked the rep to explain he said he would get back to me asap... 3 emails and 2 calls later.. nothing....

Check and recheck the numbers. On the border of harassment. After declining the refi option that was offered, they continued to call and email me with insults and accusations. Beware.

Don't bother I applied 2 months ago with Rate Genuis to refinance my auto loan, I filled out the application, and got a call a few days later with approval. I was excited the rates and payments were alot lower than what I was paying. THe loan officer said he was going to get things moving, I'd get an email with a bunch of paperwork to fill out, which i'd have to do ASAP and mail back to them. FRAUDULENT WARRANTY PRACTICE I used them to refinance my car, bought the SUPREME warranty, no other better, mirrors factory warranty, then went to use it,...found RateGenius had sold me the SUPREME warranty but purchased an inferior warranty. They made all the money in between. If you buy a warranty, make sure you get what you were sold, not the cheap one they will buy without you knowing til you go to use it. Pure wire fraud here. Criminals in my opinion.

Refinanced twice since in one year.. I've had my truck for a year and a half. Refinanced after six months. Originally had 12.5%, refinanced at 9.45%. Got a mailer in the mail for 3%. I'm at a 615 on CK, so I'm thinking no way. I'd probably get something better than my 9.45% though. So I fill out an app. I get a call from rate genius the next day with good news, not quite the 3% but 3.29%!!!ive got 3 negatives on my report. 2 closed 400$ HSBC card unpaid from 5 years back, and a collection on one. What a Scam GAP interest? Are they kidding!!! Credit Karma BS. I noticed that every good review starts with the word Great. I guess they are writing their own reviews because every other review has one star

Really great experience!. As some other users have posted, I went to LendingTree.com to get a rate quote on my car refinancing loan. I received several offers via e-mail, but a rep from Rate Genius actually called me. His offer was less than the e-mailed offers as well. The rate was 20% less than what I had, reducing my monthly payments by $170! The length was the same amount that I had left, and my down payment was $400, which was actually less than my original monthly payment, and counted as a monthy payment. In the end I ... read more

Unsolicited calls I made the mistake of speaking with this company to refinance my car loan. They called non-stop after speaking and even called my work... I did not provide a work phone number so the representative called and had our receptionist transfer him.

An ineffective partner I picked RateGenius when they offered to cut my APR in half by going with a credit union. After submitting all required documents and getting an approval, the lender (a no-name CU) began requesting numerous additional documents. RateGenius rep simply passed on the requests to me with words "can you get this" and "this is what else they need".
