Incredibly awful application experience Ultimately it came down to rateGenius and Logix Federal Credit Union telling me, that although I qualified to refinance my car based on my credit score, the fact that I am employed full time through a staffing company (as an I.T. Systems/Network Admin) means to them that I cannot prove the income I make, even though my paystubs (paid weekly) show that I do. Horrible customer service The customer service was absolutely terrible. I ended up calling the credit union they got me approved with. When I dealt with the credit union directly I got a better rate and received much better customer service. The credit union was logix federal credit union. I dropped my rate from 12 to 3 by refinancing.

They did get my rate lowered BUT .... I received a mailer from Rate genius for a "Pre-Qualified" refi on my car with Xcel CU at 8.5% my current rate is at 10.95. I applied online and it took about 2 or 3 days to hear back from them. I got an email stating that I was "approved" however it was NOT an approval for the actual refi but approved that they would work with me. Know What You Are Getting Into 1. My rate and payments went down. That is the whole reason I refinanced. 2. Everything can be done online so it's easy. 3. I was not contacted during the time frame that I discussed with the representative, Morgan Motley. I addressed the issue and he argued with me and told me that I wanted to be called throughout my work day. 4. Disclosure form Why does the disclosure paperwork have an e for estimate next to the rate, payment and term? I'm a bit nervous knowing this is an estimate. Thirst numbers should be final at this point. Not hearing back from loan officer Rick. Anyone else?

They will trick you!!. After receiving my statement showing what I was being charged for I saw an additional fee for around $800 for each of my vehicles. I found out that Rategenius had me singed up for GAP and Life insurance. The problem is I wasn't aware I signed up for this nor did I want this coverage. After checking out my paperwork I found out what happend. After talking to the loan officer (with nothing being mentioned about GAP or life insurance) he put my loan documents together and sent them to me with instructors ... read more

suspicious Applied.. hours later accepted. Sent me the paperwork and the numbers don't match I would end up paying more with them even with a lower monthly payment. Asked the rep to explain he said he would get back to me asap... 3 emails and 2 calls later.. nothing....

Check and recheck the numbers. On the border of harassment. After declining the refi option that was offered, they continued to call and email me with insults and accusations. Beware.
