Therapist Cami always has your back. She is such a blessing to me. The whole campus talks about how wonderful she is. She cares so much. It was my second day here and I was really struggling she came up to me and saw that I was hurting and immediately helped me. If I would have left here I would have died. Cami really helped save my life. I love her! She's the nest therapist I could have asked for.
TA Cecil is always on it! Any time you need something, Cecil is on it. If there is a need or concern, he will always help. He always makes sure the ladies are safe, he's so helpful. He's dependable and you can count on him to give you good direction. Cecil is good people because he's just a good person, he's the best TA ever! He's such a blessing to the people here at River Oaks.
We absolutely had a fabulous time at the New Years party the kitchen staff held for us. Thank you so much to Chef Terry for laying out the food so nicely for us. The presentation was beautiful. We had spanakopita and chicken cordon blue bites. They had home made oatmeal cookies that were huge and so good! They dimmed the lights and had music with the projector screen and videos playing like we were at a nice dance. When I came in I was really scared and I didn't really want to be here. I had no idea what to expect because it was my first time in treatment. Throughout my stay I learned a lot, the classes helped me change my mind set. I used to sit on negative thoughts a lot and now I pray three times a day. Never did I think I would be able to stay here for the whole 30 days but this has been such a good experience. There were a few things that came up during my stay but it was worked through. The openness of the facility was good and I liked the fact that it is co-ed was. The staff is nice. Food was good. My case manager Veronica helped me get sober living. The facility is clean and nice. I liked the openness of the groups. Would recommend.
So many people helped me during my stay. Isabel the housekeeper lights me up every time I see her, she's wonderful. Cami is an awesome therapist! She has helped so much by always making herself available. She's always on the ball and very enthusiastic. The TA's Rachel, Michelle, Staci, Tanya, Marco, Natasha and all 3 Frank's were amazing. Rachel the TA and Christina the Nurse really helped me because they were there for me. Rachel is so sweet and very tender hearted and caring, she always explains everything so wisely. Christina is a very good listener and has very positive but stern and realistic approach, she gives lots of detailed information. As much as I didn't like to process, I really needed that. My Therapist Amy and Dr. Fahs really helped me. Dr. Fahs helped me when I got here to feel comfortable and Amy gave me lots of positive tools to stay sober. She never judged me and was always professional. All the groups were good. I liked that you are able to keep your phone so you can keep in touch with your family. I learned a lot about recovery here.
TA Stacey was extremely helpful is a momma bear! She gives direction which I need in my life. She really goes above and beyond her expectations. She will go out of her way to help and take care of us. She really cares about our needs. Nurse Christina is very proactive and gives great words of encouragement.
