The staff overall has been absolutely fantastic and very helpful. At first it was jarring because I had never been to rehab and I really didn't know what to expect. All of my peers here really helped me through. They helped get me going in the right direction. My therapist Ian has been absolutely great and very encouraging. Christina is also wonderful. When I first got here I couldn't believe how welcoming and kind people were to me without wanting anything in return. It opened up a new world to me because it reminded me of when the world was simple, I felt so included. It started helping me learn how to trust all people again. The New Years Eve food was outstanding. The spinach pastries and the ham and cheese bites along with the meatballs were wonderful. They even had home made cookies and all their food was made here. It was a nice presentation.
It was a beautiful time. I started early in the morning exercising and go to the gym, have breakfast come back to get ready for groups and go to town hall, then get ready to hit my groups. Its highly structured and keeps you busy and engaged. I had some free time to work on personal stuff. You get to keep your phone which creates and outlet to help you work through stuff. I really love James the Counselor and Tony was excellent as well as Therapist Amy. Dimitris is truly a wonderful speaker. In particular, they really touched me. You can tell Tony is dedicated and lives and dreams this job. I believe the groups saved my life. I had been so closed up and here I was given a safe environment to express myself which helped save my life because I had so much bottled up and I feel like I talked the poison out of me, I feel so much better. New Years Eve here was so fun. We really enjoyed the great food. It was something really special with appetizers which felt like home. I went with a bunch of the other ladies and it was a nice break from our routine that really lifted your spirits. Its real easy to feel down during the holidays in treatment and this gave us something nice to take our mind off and look forward to.
The food on New Years Eve was excellent. Thank you so much to the kitchen staff. Miss Angie was so helpful. Kudos to Chef Terry because he makes all that food in house. There were cookies and baklava. It was nice just to have something nice to do on new Years Eve.
Hirely is my Therapist and she's quiet but she's the thunder! She lays it out for me so I can get it. I need strict discipline and she does that for me. The New Years Eve party was superb! Angie is superb! She decorates the kitchen. If you have an issue with something, she will attend to it. She really personalizes our options in the kitchen. She will sit down with you and ask you how is your meal. I don't know if she's the boss or not but she should be! When she smiles at you, its real. I have never seen one person go to that kitchen counter with a problem and not have it fixed. She doesn't try, she does it.
