Not great…positives: our waitress was very nice. The location was beautiful. Negatives: very slow service. We found ourselves running out of beverages and looking for our waitress. The food was very mid. Everything was bland and not a good value for the price. The restaurant was inexcusably hot. It was nearly 90 degrees inside, which was the same temp outside. We were sweating and uncomfortable. I don’t see use returning.
Food was maybe a little above average but the experience was terrible. The air condition was not working properly inside. In addition , our reservation was at 5 PM and we arrived at 10 minutes till. The door was still locked and they would not let us inside at all until 5 PM on the dot and it was 98 degrees outside
They made mistakes on two of the five orders made and the crab cakes were mostly filler and not very good for the price.
Was very nice atmosphere. No rush to eat and turn the table.
We had made reservations months ago, but a table on the patio for two was placed in the way of traffic in and out the door. It was very uncomfortable. The food was not very hot and actually not that good. We have been going there for years and it was disappointing.
Went to Ela’s for our last night on HHI. Sat outside, which was nice and I was glad I’d made that reservation as it smelled very fishy when we walked through the restaurant. Of the food, the better things we enjoyed was the shrimp appetizer with sriracha aioli, kid’s salmon, and lobster ravioli. This was the 4th or 5th time I’ve dined at Ela’s and it may be the last time. Cosmopolitan wasn’t very good. Grouper was terrible. It was obviously frozen but it had no flavor. The lemon sauce needed seasoning. The rice wasn’t edible - hard and dry - and the green beans were barely cooked. Meal was mostly inedible. Beautiful views, good food, absolutely terrible service.
Our service was subpar. Waitress couldn’t be bothered to mention the specials, seemed uninterested in actually servicing the table, and overall didn’t provide even the smallest amount of service. The food was relatively bland, the exception of the crab cakes — very flavorful. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and would not recommend based on our experience.
