Service was very slow, to the point we had to get our waitress on multiple occasions, felt as if we were forgotten about. Waited over 25 minutes for our check. Bread and salad was good- other than that Food was confusing. Husband ordered tile fish special. Flavors were all over the place- nothing tasted good together. Asparagus was barely cooked. W Over all, very disappointing.
Reservation 6:30 did not get food until 8:05. Server was very nice but the service was sub par. Not attentive seemed inexperienced. Do Not sit upstairs
I'm usually a straight 4 or 5 reviewer but this was the third try for us at Elas. Each time it's the same. Good food. Great view of harbor and rude and or pushy service. We are done. Looks like nice high end spot but behave like diner trying to turn tables quickly.
Received a way over done 56 dollar steak that couldn’t be eaten and the manager came over to insult us and tells us we had to pay for the view and ambience.
They seemed annoyed we showed up for our reservation. We didn’t stay past drinks or the appetizer. Food might be good but service clearly isn’t their thing. We didn’t feel like staying and paying money to find out.
Worst dinning experience I’ve had in 10 years. Charcuterie terrible I think it had spam on it as one of the meats and old cheeses. Crab stack had old dark avocado on it and pickles completely disappointing. You know I’ve never given a bad review of a restaurant but this was so bad. Rib Eye was tough chewy and had terrible flavor. Crabcake was worse than Mrs. Paul’s. Visually it was the worst looking crabcake I’ve ever seen, looked like card board crab cakes Fried green tomatoes totally bland. I would never go back.
Cap reset salad had only tiny crumbles of mozzarella- looked like feta not mozz Flounder was too dry and tasteless. I would not go back.
Food was a big disappointment compared to past visits. How can you overcook fish 😩
This will be the last time eating at Ela's , every year we eat there at least twice in the month we are at HHI. This was by far the worst everything that we have experienced in Hilton Head. The receptionist basically said we had to eat sit down at 7:30 p.m. and could not have a drink at the bar, five people. The waitress wanted to know what we wanted to eat before she even asked us if we wanted a drink while looking at the menu. When I ordered the Flounder, she said, "Am I sure I want that?"
