Very disappointed with food quality and service this trip. We have been to Ella’s a number of times and it has continued to go downhill the last few visits. Terrible service, seafood was not good quality (scallops had a fishy smell, grouper was dry and flakey, crab cakes were mushy and cold), and drinks were not to standard across the table. We will not be visiting again.
Sat outside and it took awhile for waitress to acknowledge us. Ordered drinks one of which being bees knees - just took one sip - it was horrible- I think the soda water that was used wasn’t carbonated- drink tasted very flat and the ice melted immediately which made the drink even worse. Waitress never acknowledged why I wasn’t drinking it… completely over her head. After we ordered our meal (grouper and red fish) our order came out within 5 minutes!!! I don’t get what I request, terrible service, rush to the end I really don’t enjoy my sister birthday , supposed to be a great time, manager don’t see like he cares to much about the restaurant but I’m pretty sure if Alex or his dad was there the experience can be a different story.
I ordered the grouper and it was horrible. Tough, undercooked, overpriced and no flavor. The noise level was awful as well. Good view but that’s about it.
Service was mediocre as well as the food. Food was either very bland or extremely spicy. We won’t go back.
Terrible service, but great location with a wonderful menu. (They do have a kids menu, other reviews said they do not but they do.)
We had a discrepancy with the bill and no one returned our call. Service was good. Scallops were undercooked and grouper overcooked for what we paid. Supposed to be high end but entrees were disappointing. The apps were good -honey lime shrimp was excellent. Super disappointed no one addressed our inquiry. Won’t return and won’t recommend.
Four of us dined here. All four of our main courses were terrible. Two of them were sent back. The salmon had a butane odor and the scallops had a bleach odor. When our check came the two dishes that were 95% percent left when we sent them back, we were credited $4.00 for a $36.00 meal and $18.00 on a $44.00 meal.Earl the owner said we were being charged for the experience of their ambiance and other expenses he has. Your husband's said their meals were outstanding and he also said " to stop complaining" We offered a partial discount as a courtesy discount. We do not serve bad food, read our reviews. This restaurant was highly recommended by family friends of ours, but we will not be returning. So disappointed by how patrons were treated as we watched management talk to the table next to us. A 94 year old woman and her daughters were seated next to us and waiting for a friend to meet them which caused them to delay ordering. This felt normal as sometimes people run late (and restaurants should understand that this happens).
