We went for our 50th wedding anniversary for view, entertainment, and menu. The view was great. The entertainment was neither visible nor audible, at least where we were seated. My wife ordered the Maine lobster which may have been good with proper presentation. Instead it was served in a large bowl filled with enough risotto to feed 3 people, with the lobster thrown unceremoniously on top. It totally threw off her appetite. We researched this place and it sounded great but I can honestly say it was not as advertised. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre at best.

Horrible service, inattentive, food is okay, way overpriced for what you get. Nothing special. Why it's not highly rated on TripAdvisor.

Had a meal with the family at this establishment. The kids menu was very sparse (had pasta but no red sauce)... I ordered an old fashioned, and admittedly a tough customer when it comes to my cocktails, this seemed to have a lot of mariachino cherry, no orange, and was disappointing. My wife had the scallops which she said were good... I had the tuna which was fair. It was a little tough, and I didn't have a steak knife to cut it. We've enjoyed Ela's very much in the past, but are wondering what happened to the food. New chef? Absent chef? Go-to choices were very different (and not for the better). Will give it another chance and hope for a better experience.

The host was rude and unaccommodating. The waiter never checked on us, took forever to bring drinks and food. The waiter also seemed more concerned with the party next to us even though we got there first and waited nearly an hour and half to eat. It took the waiter 20 minutes to bring me a sprite after I mentioned that the lemonade was off. The $40 "lobster" was extremely small and still had bits of shells in it. The dessert was still frozen. We chose this restaurant from yelp reviews, and because there was live music. We were seated outside, on an edge away from speakers in an awkwardly quiet setting. I asked the waitress about the music and she said it was being played over the speakers, with a very snarky attitude. Unfortunately, She retained that attitude through our visit. Very disappointed. We had been at the restaurant twice before and really liked it. We were stuck upstairs and they kept moving tables and chairs around for various size groups they were expecting. This was very distracting.

Disappointed in Ela Blue. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the view of Harbor very nice, but the food was only average. Our caprese salad was tasteless. My crabcakes were okay. My husband was disappointed with his grouper. Our server Lily was not very present and we had to wait to get her attention several times. Also when I made the reservation, I mentioned it was my husbands birthday but there was no recognition of that when we were there. We probably will not be back.
