After a long time on a train the first thing we do is upgrade to a king spa suite w/ mountain view. Only to find out our non-smoking room smelled heavily of cigarettes in the bathroom. It smelled as if someone had been chain smoking, not the type of thing that could be missed. The attitude of the staff when this issue was presented was dismissive. Called to make a reservation in a non smoking room and said we were doing a late check in so we can go night snowboarding. The girl put us down for 10pm check in but said its fine if we come back after that. It's Christmas day and every room with what we need is booked! Dying in one of their smoking rooms because someone gave away our double queen room and they're all booked out! They have cut back on the portions of food and raised the prices. And quality of the food not as good. Was a regular customer no more.
I have always thought of the Legacy as 5 stars until this past visit. I brought my daughter and new son-in-law along telling them how great the service staff and comps were at this place in comparison to other hotels and Vegas (they love Vegas). After making reservations, with an upgrade to a nicer room, 10- hours of driving, we were greeted by what was the rudest check-in at the VIP desk I have ever met, Zach McGuire.
