Smith Douglas Homes built a good quality, solid house. They also communicated well with me throughout the building process, so we understood what was going each week.
We love our new house! The overall experience was very positive. The choosing of our The punch list at the end was attended to promptly and easily. Would buy another house from Smith Douglas.
Despite the many problems that we faced, we are still happy that we were able to purchase a home in this economy especially being in our early 20's.
I love the floor plans of smith douglas homes and the higher than average ceilings. the master bedrooms are a bit over large and closets, other than master are smaller than average.

From the quality, to the aesthetic to the in office and on site team, Smith Douglas met every mark. I highly recommend them as a builder and others who I mentioned them to spoke highly of them as well
Overall Smith Douglas was fine to work with. Our agent Richard was great; he communicated every step of the process and was there to answer any questions or concerns we had. Our finish date was delayed, which we had expected. The only issue we had was during closing. It was clear that they were trying to meet some sort of quota by the end of the month and really rushed us through the blue tape walk through and inspection process and said they would start charging us every day we delayed the closing, even though not everythin... read more
