Much better than Baylor Scott And White but still has a lot of problems. You have to walk a very long way to the emergency room so if you're really sick, or can't walk very far you need to pay for the ambulance. Most of the doctors seemed to be caring, but there are definitely a few with poor bedside manner and that come across as bullies. Don't expect to get a clear idea of what the plan is for you. I've had it changed on me four times in one day several times I've had it changed without them even talking to me about it. I'... read more
All of the employees except a gentleman by the name of Remi. The guy before Remi said he could take my blood with no problem. I explained that I am a hard stick.. He said he acould do it. I tried to explained but with no luck. It I will ask for Remi. Going forward I will ask for him.
I was at the St. David's North Austin Meducal Center today and want to say thank you to all who helped me: Christoper (wheeled me to imaging), Rafael, (did the image scanning), the woman who took did the administrative part, nurse Jori (helped out the head nurse), Marissa (my main nurse) and Jennifer (my PA). And the waiting room staff, including Taylor (the friendly young woman who did check-in) and those who saw and listened when I needed to lay down because I couldn't sit from the pain. They were all caring, kind, atten... read more
they took great care of me. i had labs drawn and i recently took my son there for a surgery. I was very happy with the care
I delivered my first child here and had a great experience. The rooms for labor and delivery are nice and spacious, along with the postpartum rooms. Don't count on using the tv's, though. The nursing staff was phenomenal- everyone was so nice and willing to help at any time with a smile. The food was pretty good, especially when starving and sleep deprived. We plan to deliver here again in the future.
If you have all day to wait... but hey it's an emergency room! The nurses are nice. It did seem a lil unorganized a bit; but everything ran smoothly
I had a 3 day stay at this hospital and it was the best hospital experience I've ever had. They are the first hospital to handle my severe food allergies properly and not only did they handle it properly, they were above and beyond!!! The front desks, triage team, cleaning staff, food service staff, security, nurses, OBs, gift shop cashiers, and even IT were so incredibly kind!
I wasin the ER tonight w/lung issues, and without my hearing aids. Between many infirmities and papery skin, i visit ERs a lot more than most folks. The care was fabulous all the way around, and everyone went out of their way to communicate clearly. Can't thank y'all enough. There was one tiny hiccup, tho: I couldn't understand the CT machines graphics on the first go-round. I thought the first one was showing waves going into a mouth, lol.
I recently had outpatient surgery here, and it was a wonderful experience. From pre-op bloodwork 2 days before my procedure to check in the day of to the time I was discharged. Everyone is efficient, kind and professional, while still making you feel comfortable and safe. They have several comfortable waiting areas for your loved ones to wait. There's a gift shop and other places to stroll and pass the time while they wait. The hospital is much larger than I realized and there is plenty of parking.
