This is a family-owned, local company. I called to install air conditioning in our home we had just purchased, with a furnace that was "AC ready" (according to the realtor). On the phone they gave me a rough estimate of what the cost would be (significantly less than I was expecting), and scheduled a time for the consultant to come look at the unit. As expected there was a certain amount of up-selling attempts, but I get that, this is their business. They were NOT pushy in any way, just laid out the options I could hav... read more

We hired Specialty Heating and Cooling to install central AC in our home and had a very positive experience. I had gotten bids from four different companies, but I chose Specialty because not only did they offer the best price, they really seemed like the best company. Cory, the man who wrote up the bid and was our contact person, was friendly and informative and definitely NOT the pushy salesman type. Ryan, who installed the AC, was also really nice and did a great job. I feel that this is a trustworthy company who really w... read more

I called Specialty Heating and Cooling to install a new heating system in my parents home this January when their furnace stopped working. Mike came out and was so easy to deal with. His approach was not pushy and he was very knowledgeable about what they needed. He took great care of them and the installation went very smooth. A wonderful experience all around!

There seemed to be a minor confusion - so to say - at dispatch. Somehow, my phone number was attached to another order. So, the tech I thought that was initially coming over to my place was actually going elsewhere. I wasn't particularly upset nor was I angry; it wasn't the tech's fault, possibly dispatch's fault, but these things do happen. All is forgiven, but some quality control may be needed to avoid this again. The fact that I had called around 10AM with an ETA for someone to arrived would be between 1PM-5PM, but arri... read more

We just had Nic come out to give us a proposal to replace our old furnace. He was professional and informative. He took the time to discuss the different options and explain the differences in each and how they would effect our utility bills. It was exactly the info I wanted to learn.

I had a two ton Carrier unit installed in my old house about 2 years ago. Cory S came to give a bid and was very professional. Adam V did the install and I was very impressed with his work. My wife and I moved into a new house about a year ago and I called up Cory again. Adam just finished installing a 3 ton carrier unit in our new house. If you want a company that does great work, for a fair price, with great customer service, then go with Specialty Heating and Cooling.

I am not sure why issues with home systems always seem to happen on weekends or long holidays--but that's usually when something stops working. At the same time, we are all talking about rising costs and how we're paying more than twice what we used to just a couple of years ago. Companies like Specialty Heating & Cooling are contributing to this problem with pricing practices that, in my view, take advantage of customers. Last week, I noticed an unusual noise coming from our furnace. I had a good idea of what it might be,... read more

In 2018, Specialty Heating came to fix my air conditioning. They told me my venting wasn't conducive for central air. I didn't understand this because my house currently had central air. They talked me into getting a mini split unit for cooling in my upstairs main level. I have since had an assessment done and this is not the case, central air would work fine. I've had multiple issues with the mini split unit requiring Specialty to come out. Multiple times it has started leaking water which would drip over an electrical out... read more

Good, competent and friendly service but way too expensive!! The tech was at the site for 1.25 hours and installed 3# of R410a refrigerant. Total Bill: $812 after coupon. Angie's list says normal range for refrigerant fill up (all in) $140-$380 with a highest price of $650 Refrigerant retail cost per pound: $12 (https://refrigerantscenter.com/products/r410a-refrigerants-25-lbs) So I paid $812-$36 = $776 for 1.25 hours of labor and overhead. We all need to make a living but I consider this exorbitant and feel like I ha... read more
