Dr. Rose Rakow is an amazing vet. We took my son's rabbit to her and she was able to clear the rabbits skin issue right up. We had taken the show rabbit to two other vets who said they could help us with a rabbit - which was not true. They did not know what they were talking about and SEVERLY overcharged us, without even fixing the issue. I highly recommend Dr. Rakow - she was very kind and gentle. She even does the health evaluations for the rabbits at the fair =)

I love this place. I've been brining my pets here for awhile now. Dr. Rakow is Tigger's Dr. She is so gentle. She really cares about her patients.

Dog was seen right away. My dog was tested with parvovirus and got treated right away. Everyone was very nice and cared.

I was going out of town for the weekend and my 14yo minpin needed a booster and a dental checkup. Not only was their boarding HALF the price of others, they got my dog in while he was there and gave me a great deal! We've been taking multiple dogs here for several years and even when we had to put one down, they were so compassionate to our family and consoled our kids. I just think every time is something else why they are great! Oh, and I don't want to forget about the front staff bc they often get left behind. Those girls... read more

I took my dog there when I called my regular vet and could not get in for two weeks. Stiern Veterinary gave us an appointment the next day. The office staff was very compassionate and helpful, as our dog was very ill at the time and our family was very worried. The prices were very reasonable. Our dog had prostate cancer and was given two years. And every time we went to the office the veterinarians and staff, always shared hope with us. Dr Bollier Is THE BEST!! I've finally found a vet that isn't just about the money! He really really cares about your fur baby!! I live across town and still drive to Monterey st. He takes care of my lil guy like he was his own. A..MAZING...

I LOVE LOVE this place (and their other Southwest location). I have 7 pets- yes 7. 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, a guinea pig and a rat. It's really difficult to find a vet for exotic animals, so I spent quite a bit of time searching Bakersfield to see what they had to offer. I'm from Los Angeles, so it's definitely nerve wracking to switch vets and expect good care. The clinic itself is on the older side, with a super busy, super small waiting room. A friend recommended Stiern Veterinary, and today I took my dog in to see Dr. Bollier for a condition that I was very concerned about. The doctor was informative, caring, and professional. And his staff members were friendly and courteous. I was relieved to hear good news - my dog requires no further treatment at this time. However, I'm scheduling another appointment to have my dog's teeth cleaned. I would highly recommend Dr. Bollier and his staff!!
