I have a large breed dog, a 135 lb Italian mastiff to be exact. My dog is a fantastic dog, but very nervous around strangers. The staff here is fantastic and very helpful with my pup. They accomdate my needs when it comes to my dog, they know his issues and respect how I need things done. They also are very straight forward and wouldn't recommend anything you don't need. Prices are about the norm, but can you really put a price on your dogs health? I will not go anywhere else in bakersfield.

Our dogs are our children, and at Stiern Veterinary clinic, The staff treat them that way. Our basset hound gets very nervous going to the vet, but the staff here is so understanding and comforting. Our shepherd mix is just the sweetest dog, although he is a bit hyper. When we took him to the vet at a local pet store, they had to muzzle him and had no patience for him. Ive had nothing but positive experiences at Stiern. From the receptionists, vet techs and vet's, its the best veterinarian hospital I have visited in town. I have gone to Banfield and have had horrible experiences there. They basically bully you into buying their crap insurance that doesnt cover anything. My 4 year old toy poodle Toby has been attended to by Dr. Rakow and Dr. Anderson and I have been pleased with the outcomes. Great hospital! I had my dog princess spayed there, and they were all so nice, and caring. They made sure princess was well taken care of before and after surgery! I would definitely recommend this place! :)

The good doctors at Stiern Veterinary Hospital have been caring for, and in some cases saving, our dogs for over 30 years. Their knowledge of current research and effective techniques reassures us every time we have need of their services. They cry with us when we must say goodbye to our beloved pets and laugh with us when we have victory over the latest health crisis. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Seeley removed a mast cell tumor from my dog's neck and spent several minutes with me afterwards to explain the surgery and answer any questions. Karissa and the other members of the staff were all incredibly professional and helpful. I drove from Ojai because the prices there were literally double what Stiern charged me. When I phoned Stiern they gave me a clear estimate with a low and a high possibility and there were no surprises or typical extra charges. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone!

After having a negative experience at Mt Vernon we decided to give Stiern a chance based off the positive reviews. We saw Dr Bollier and he was amazing. Went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and very honest and did not try to upsell us for unessasary products. We will definately be bring our dog back and recommend this place to others.

Stiern and the veterinarians who work here are awesome! Even in a really difficult situation they were upfront, honest and did everything they could, without charging me an arm and a leg. This is the only place I will take my pets now!

This is such a great vet place! The awesome staff there saved our dog and completely went above and beyond their call for her! This is the best vet place I've ever experienced. Josh, the vet tech is also awesome with our dogs. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!!
