We have dined at this establishment before and have been pleased. However, Easter Sunday brunch was a disappointment. There were a number of large parties in the restaurant and we were a table of 2. We were seated in an area away from where our server was working. We were overlooked and the egg breakfast was dry.
Unspeakably disappointed. Have been here before, and to several of the restaurants owned by Cunningham group (Provision, Union50, Mesh, BruBurger), and all were superb. We ordered fish tacos that came with what looked like day old, overdone fries. My wedge salad was actually a 1/4 wedge, technically a wedge I suppose, but it was wilted and mushy. Maybe 5 tables seated in the restaurant at 4:30 had to have multiple people hunt down our waitress, took over 30 minutes to get bread after I had to ask for it from placing our meal orders. Soup came out cold, they brought new ones that were barely Luke warm. Won’t be going back to Plainfield’s location seems like they allow the staff to sit on their phones in the room upstairs
My steak was undercooked, my daughters steak was overcooked. The side dishes we not good. I spent a lot of money here and was very disappointed.
My wife and I have attended numerous times, all have been enjoyable until this last visit. Made reservations the day prior, requested a secluded table as my wife and I were celebrating our 25th Marriage Anniversary. This was a work week night, so we planned on enjoying a nice dinner to celebrate with other events planned for the weekend to follow.
