Made reservations for my birthday. Person calling to confirm asked if it was a special occasion and I told her birthday. We arrived to a less than friendly or attentive waiter. He really shouldn’t be in the field, he showed zero charisma or personality. He also never mentioned the special occasion...may not have gotten passed on or may not have cared. We searched for a restaurant near our hotel that offered Brunch. Open Table featured this restaurant for Brunch. We arrived at their opening at 11 am and after being seated were told that they had stopped offering Brunch three or more weeks earlier. They only offered one menu and after getting psyched for breakfast it was tough to find anything comparable on the menu. We tried a pasta and a salad. We eat here a lot and it's always been a pleasant experience. So, I will say first that our visit on Saturday night was not typical. Something was really off. Our server was distracted, at best. The kitchen didn't seem to have it together either. Bread was not offered until we requested it. I order the same meal every time and was greatly disappointed. The horse radish dijon crusted sirloin. It tasted completely different than in normally does. Like it was a different brand of steak. Lots of fat and not good flavor.

Very disappointed! Have been there numerous times before and loved it. My S/O and I were not impressed with the food or service at all. Will not be my first choice ever again when deciding where to go for a good tasting meal. Hopefully just an off night for the chef and waiter both.

A mediocre dining experience at best. Suggested this place to meet another couple who were celebrating an anniversary as my wife and I like the atmosphere and have enjoyed dining here in the past. Should have known better as last two outings to associated restaurant Charbonos were equally disappointing. Service was indifferent and sporadic. We love the Zionsville location of Stone Creek, especially the service but this dinner (wedding anniversary) was a bust. Can't even complain about the waitress, since she never introduced herself. No mention of specials, she just slapped the Dine Indy menu down. Although I asked for a quiet table for our anniversary, we were seated directly under a music speaker, and didn't get any acknowledgement of the special occasion.
