With 3 kids and on a school night, I knew we couldn't wait for a table, so 45min beforehand I made reservation. And they couldn't get us a table until 35min AFTER our reservation time. Wait staff was just okay. Mashed potatoes were dry, bland, inedible. Chicken was a bit overcooked. This was for wife's birthday. Manager did come out and apologize for the wait, and took $24 off our bill. Last time we were here was a couple years ago at our anniversary, and had a much better experience.
I was disappointed with this, my first, and probably last, visit to Stone Creek. Despite the great decor, the food was below average for a mid-priced chain (Appleby’s, Ruby Tuesday, TGIF, etc.) and the service left much to be desired. We eat here a lot and usually it is very good. Occasionally, however, and tonight was one of those occasions, they get hopelessly behind and the service is very slow. We did not get our entrees until 40 minutes after we had ordered. This meant that we did not have time for coffee and dessert before our movie time. I ordered the combo with ribs and shrimp. The drinks were horrible. Had to send 2 Back. Ended up with sub par chardonnay. Service was slow menu prices high and Some of our food had to be sent back because it was not prepared properly. When they brought rereplacement Out the Sides were wrong.
Food was underwhelming, considering the high rating and high prices of this restaurant. Onion soup was much too salty and came topped with fried onions, beet salad had a huge mound of goat cheese "mix" (at least a full 1.5 cups!) with tiny bits of beet, and some other entrees were also topped with fried onions. For the high prices, the food was definitely not high-end.
Lackluster Service It started from the time we walked in. Two girls were at the hostess stand laughing amongst themselves and finally greeted us. I gave them my name and they told me it would just be a few minutes. It got busy and the girls got really confused. About five minutes later they came back to me and asked my name.
