My Elantra 2013 had developed a power-steering wobbling problem. Hyundai extended warranty had expired a couple months back. I got the work done at Stress Free Auto Care. Sanjeev, the manager, was extremely cordial and professional. The work was done efficiently and with courtesy.

They say they have no record of me despite me scheduling online for their san mateo location. I actually tried to go twice and was sent away in tears. I was told it was probably and engine that I would need to go to a dealer and spend about 8000 to fix. They said I needed a whole new engine. They would not even put it on a machine nor do diagnostics. They literally sent me away in tears and I did not know what to do. They could not fix a vehicle that a near by place was able to go for a few hundred. They said they couldn't do it and that I needed an 8000 engine pft they are not smart

Zain at the front desk is 5/5 stars. He was solid. And the service that was done to my car was good enough all they did was a belt change but didn't fix my problem completely. However, this shop is way more expensive than any shop has to be. While most shops either do a free diagnostic or deducts the cost from the service, they charge $300 just to see what's wrong with the car and they don't deduct that from the service. Comical experience. Not recommended. I brought my car in with a known issue (worn CV axle boot) they didn't find that, but rather I had a list of unrelated problems they pulled out of their $$$. They were completely clueless I actually know my car even after I told them I was just simply too busy to mess with it. Tried this place instead of my usual Dealer service at Nissan because I like the attention to detail and the pictures of the maintenance items and concerns. I was disappointed that the detail was only perceived considering there was no follow up when my car was ready for pick up. Not only that but one of the requested service (tire rotation) was completely missed.
