Have a challenge with my car.......went to Stress Free Auto Care in Orangevale CA ......they tested my car and recommend that I take my car to Hyundai Dealer......they did not charge me for Diagnostic.... WOW great service.....

My 1998 Ford Explore needs smog check for registration renew. I tried two places and got the same problem: the engine RMP couldn't hold 2500RPM for the smog test; I was referred to Kenely for smog related repair. Kenely was able to pass the smog test without additional repair / cost. And the smog check price is the best among the three shops I visited. Outstanding!
The master cylinder in my daughters 2009 focus went out, I took my car to kenely. A mechanic advised to replace with a genuine ford replacement over a generic part. They stuck to their quote and did the excellent work. As a father I felt confident in the repair, and was done correct by any standard.
I must commend them on their fantastic customer service. They exemplify the qualities of customer service skills that everyone wishes all business people would or could possess and can't or won't in today's world. To a lot of people, that art form is lost and long gone. But when you come across it on a rare occasion as I did, it warrants at the very least, recognition. The service men were polite and good with communication. I did not end up having the work done so I can't comment on quality of the work. The reason for two stars is that they released my car to the tow company without my permission. The insurance nor body shop had the right to take the car without my permission. This ended up causing me a lot of extra work and headache.
Brought my car in on a tow for a radiator and had the mechanic come out yelling "What the hell am I supposed to do with that!!??" To replace the radiator the front needs to be removed. I had removed the bumper and front of the body. It was with the car. I was told to take it to a body shop???!!! They had to remove the front anyway, so I would have had to put it back together for them to take it apart. The front counter person was rude and the opposite of stress free. Horrible treatment. I give you two stars because of your customer service. The friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. You're easy to find especially on a busy road and your shop is clean. But stress free? No. I came to you guys for some emergency work that I thought I needed. I left without that work because of what I was quoted. $4746.16 for a long list of unnecessary but necessary work. Why? They mailed out a coupon for an oil change that expired on 9-1-25 Labor Day and it was a holiday. So I called on 9-4 but it had expired. They said, no worries we will grant you the coupon it's only a few days late. So I make appointment show up and they say oh sorry we can't grant you the coupon but we will do oil change for 30.00 more. Wow Just wow. Very poor Customer Service not to mention the attendant could care less.

We took our Ford f150 to the shop for a rough idle. They did an inspection and found we needed a few things fixed in addition to the original problem. That was great. We approved the work. They had to keep the truck over night and then the next day they sent me an estimate stating that the caliper broke when they were fixing the brakes and said I was responsible for the repair.
