The mechanics here did such a wonderful job on my 2009 Honda Accord. I felt very taken care of and the service was quite fast (one day). Michael at the front desk explained everything perfectly and made sure that my car was safe to drive before my pick up. I received an overview of what was needed to be done in an e-mail which included photos, as well as a phone call to explain and go over the pricing. I appreciated that a lot. I was at the beginning of a 12-hour drive, with a flight to catch at the end, when my alternator and battery went out. It was early morning, and when I called Joel, he got me in quickly so I could get back on my way to Colorado. He was kind, professional, and HONEST! As a woman traveling alone, it's good to know that I'm getting honest treatment and a good deal. If I lived in Montclair, Joel's automotive would be my first choice. I can't say enough good things about this establishment!

Fair and more importantly - honest. Took my older car in for a squeaky belt that I had changed my self. Thought it might be a tensioner. They checked it out and said belt just needed to be tightened. Took it in quick, tightened it up and sent me on my way. No charge. Give these guys a try you will be glad you did.

I had a sudden onset of weird noise from my car, it was a small noise at first and a different mechanic looked at it and said he couldn't find anything so I kept on driving and ignoring it. After a few weeks, the noise got worse and finally, I didn't feel safe enough driving it. Found Joel and took it in. Immediately diagnosed all the issues and pointed to exactly what was wrong. I recently visited Joel's Auto Repair and I must say, over the years, the customer service has been consistently amazing. Joel and his staff are very polite and accommodating on top of honest about the repairs my car has needed every time I've brought in my car. Brought my Camry in for minor repairs. Found the parts and installed at a very reasonable price. Kept me appraised on parts on order. Thank you I'd recommend for Smog too !! Brought in my Hyundai , i was smogged and out of there in less than 30 minutes. Excellent !
