Thank you for your review. Our Hospital Manager will be in touch with you.
Waited 3 hours in the parking lot and nobody ever came out to even check on our dog what a joke. We called every half hour to make sure they knew we were there. Caitlyn whom answered our calls was incredibly heartless. After 3 1/2 hours of waiting with not one person we left and brought our very sick pup back home to suffer in comfort rather than the damn parking lot. Do not waste your time going here!

Thank you for your review. We cannot predict how many emergency cases will come through our door at any point of the day. We prioritize our patients on need and treat them in order of severity. Thank you, Sumner Veterinary Hospital
I brought in my elderly dog a few nights ago who was experiencing a crisis around 3 am. The overnight techs who answered the phones were very slow to check me in and once my information was taken they told me it would take a few minutes to get my dog triaged. It took 25 minutes for my dog to finally get triaged and taken into the ER. After working for an emergency referral center in my past, this seemed incredibly lazy. The lack of hustle and urgency I saw in the techs was really upsetting to me, especially with how bad of ... read more

Thank you for your review. We are so sorry for the loss of your pet, Aubry. In looking at the notes for your case, Aubry had Pancreatitis and was triaged and seen, and offered a treatment plan. We are a 24 hour animal hospital that see’s many patients during the day and night. Earlier in the day, we were at capacity and our night staff are caring for those patients as well as seeing new patients. Thank you, Sumner Veterinary Hospital
Last week we had to put our Bella to sleep. The tech insisted on getting payment first before allowing us to see her one last time because they claimed I hadn't paid fpr a previous visit. The tech was having issues getting logged in so wrote down my card info on a paper and said they would run it later. The next day I tried calling w a special request but they wouldn't answer so I sent a message via their site. Monday a woman calls while I am working because I didn't pay on Saturday. I once again gave them my c... read more

I left my 12 year old little Havanese dog to be boarded for two nights in good health, only to have her returned to me stinky, with blood, puss, feces crusted to her bottom, which was swollen, and red looking like one her anal glands burst or was about to. I have never in 20 plus years got a pet returned to me in that kind of condition from them. Mia is my 4th pet I have been taking to Sumner Veterinary Hospital and she will be the last. I have sent them pictures and called several times asking for her to be seen and I am s... read more

Would not perform a simple nail trimming on our nervous dog. They said they feared he would hurt himself because he was nervous and squirmy. They have worked on him numerous times in the past and now they refuse this time.
Never again... our dog swallowed a whole tennis ball...long story short I saw her swallow it but in our panic to rush her to the vet and go get the car set up got her she dislodged it on her own. We did not know that and rushed her to the closest pet hospital. We arrived at approx 8:20 am, the wait time says 4-6 hours... I had already read that we have 4 hours to induce vomiting to see if that would help. 40 minutes after we thought the ball was still in her we arrive at the hospital. We call and check in they tell me someo... read more

I come in because my dog got into a fight pit bull. They say the wait is 4 to 6 hours. at hour 5 the guy parked next to me gets pissed and leaves. We call in and they don't see us registered. I cussing in the background and they put my wife on hold for 3 minutes and come back and say that they DID have us registered and what do you know we're next. Bunch of idiots. This seems to be a common issue. what is there response???? Probably a thanks for the comment reply. These guys suck.
Business response:
Todd, we know your time is valuable and can assure you we make every effort to see clients in a timely manner. As a walk-in clinic we cannot always predict the wait-time. Emergency cases also take priority at times and do cause inevitable delays. We always try to communicate our wait times to the best of our ability. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and are always open to feedback and suggestions.
