Resort with great staff! Arrived at the hotel at 11am and a room was available for check-in. Greeted by one of the reps from the concierge who was really helpful only to get our buy-in to attend the "presentation" and explained all the perks we would receive by simply going to the presentation. After 20 minutes, we got to the room. Room was a good size and clean. Beach is beautiful. Resort is small so by day 3, it started to get boring. No Complaints here Our family stayed here for 6 days and we had a fantastic time. The ocean was beautiful and the staff were great. The hotel was clean. The food was pretty good. It was definately a fun experience for the family. The rooms had showers only (FYI). The outside of the hotel was average, but the staff and location was exceptional. Definately take the Xel-Ha and Tulum tours!
Royal sunset may 2012 This was my first time traveling to cancun. I have visited other parts of Mexico and various other locations. The other times I gone to Mexico I have stayed with the Riu hotels....I chose sunset this time for a cheaper rate and to try something new. My overal experience was good. I traveled with my mother for her 50th birthday. Most of the staff was very friendly, the food was great and always fresh, loved the beach location. Relaxing with friends What I don't like is THE NOISE. The 'enternainers' yell above the loud music and not everybody likes enternainers. The hotel should move this somewhere else. Aside from that, the hotel is great, THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL, the food and drinks are very good. All in all, we had a good time.
great place This is a hotel I would stay again. The service was awesome. From the bartenders, bar backs, waiters,maids.simply great. The food was good could use a little more variety, but all in all good. The people at the front desk we very nice they gave me a better room when I asked, no problem. I went to Explore this time and was very pleased, if u want a good time is the place. This was my 22nd time to Cancun and each time is different and fun.
Good place to be close to great areas of the city Good hotel if you expect to have a place to take a shower and sleep with medium confort. The position, close to a nice part of the beach and the Coco Bongo area is the most delightly aspects of the hotel.
