This place is an absolute nightmare. I have worked in veterinary clinics before, and I can tell you, these people are not good. Part of my job is bringing dogs in when indicated, and this place loves to over medicate, under-explain and over charge. I warn anyone going in to do some research because this place will gladly tell you to do unnecessary things. I am not trying to suggest self-diagnosing, but do some research and be prepared to decline the things that are not necessary. Wait times are long (even for a walk in cl... read more
Went for a walk in pet vaccination which took 2 hour wait time! The way they check in and check out seems very inefficient causing increased wait time. Also the vet seemed very inexperienced and kept saying whoa which freaked my dog out when getting his vaccines which caused her to nick herself with the needle! I felt bad for the vet but goodness just do it fast. I have been to many vets before and dogs know when your nervous giving shots just do it fast. My dog was only 16 lb dog! I clearly has stated I wanted the 3 ... read more
i will NEVER again take any pet into a Pet Value Clinic! My dog died after being misdiagnosed by a vet at the Tacoma Pet Value. But not before I was charged for unnessary treatment such as X-Rays and persciption medications which were never opened because the dog pass away at the emergency vet five hours later. The Emergency vet was able to detrimine my dog's situation as neurological not digestive in approximately 2 minutes but 2 minutes too late. So save yourself the expense, anger, and heart ache invest in pet insuran... read more
The doctor was kind, so was the receptionist but the white, blonde, average size woman, who was the doctors helper or nurse was extremely rude and unfriendly. I would just say b***h. She rolled her eyes at my kind mother, and even said "omg, really?" When our puppy jumped off the table. She was even rude when we entered the exam room. I have no idea what her problem is but she needs to put herself in check because we weren't in any way rude or difficult to deal with. This happened this morning around 11am.
You get what you pay for... Great cheap shots, but a bunch of half wits and service pushers that call themselves drs. I paid these ppl to look over my dog, who they said was fine. Only to learn a few weeks later at the emergency vet that the dog has a heart murmur that even I could identify. Then, I bring my pup in and these ppl give me antibiotics for my dogs foot while at the same time pushing probiotics on me, which is a total waste of money. The last time I went they couldn't identify a simple eye infection. Beware o... read more
I have taken my four pets, two cats and two dogs to Value Vets for various reasons over the years. Mostly shots and physicals. Last year my big dog developed a fatty tumor and I was quoted approx $700 to remove it another very samll similar tumors and two skin tags.As that quote was nearly a year ago (over 30 years too) I was told he would have to be seen again now that I had the money. The new vet kept saying it was a large tumor (about the size of your fist) and there could be complications??? I said, there is lots of sk... read more
Unprofessional and inefficient! They prescribed antibiotics without cytology report!
The only thing that this place is good for is cheap vaccines. I wouldn't take my pets there for anything other than that! I got scammed into all theses unnecessary tests that didn't even solve the issue and had to visit my primary vet who disagreed with it all... $2000 later :( let's just say a lesson learned.
BOO! awful wait times, indifferent staff... We took our dog there on a saturday... they said he has an ulcer on his eye, a blood infection, a torn tendon in his rear leg and "they dont know" on his front paw. They charged us 900 bucks. gave a leg wrap similar to the photo with the red/white. I followed up today. Thursday. The vet was not aware of any of the issues from saturday. assumed we had care elsewhere.... inspected the rear leg, said it was "fine" did not check his eye, ask about meds.. he had no idea what was going o... read more
