Terrible! This clinic is it strictly for the money, no care or compassion for families or their pets! Two years ago we adopted a dog, started taking him to Value pet clinic and purchased a paw plan. A little over a year ago we adopted a kitten, and started taking him to value pet clinic with a paw plan. STAY FAR AWAYYYY! Well first, we wanted to get my dog looked at because she was having discharge and peeing More then normal. They were booked, told us to come at 830 am and check in. We were there at 820am. They told us, there was 15 people in line we were the 16th. Mind you we arrived at 820am, waited in the car until 3pm!!! No one told us anything. Going to make this as brief as i can, but do not go to this vet. My dog, who is elderly, went in for simple dental work after which they gave her a three day pain medication and gave us some other pain meds to give her if she seemed to be hurting. at the time she was very wobbly and couldnt really walk and would not respond to her name or words she knew and we assumed this was because of the pain meds they gave her and relaxed a little. value pet clinic also told us that she had stage one kidney disease(keep this one in mind... read more
I cannot even give a one star rating for this clinic as they are terrible in getting in touch with us. We called for the medication for our spayed 10 year old dog who has a urinary incontinence problem and the medication takes care of that problem. We left a message Sunday evening but heard nothing on Monday. Calling them and getting on hold for minutes then finally answering they said they do not listen to their messages. Now who does that? I assure you that we do check our voicemails as much as we can; however, because of our short staffed issues, sometimes we cannot listen to them right away. The vets are great, however, Melissa at the front desk is the worst "reception" I have ever encountered. I've never been treated so poorly in my life! I was brought to tears by her demeaning and rude behavior that was not justified in any way. And when I complained to another family member, the first thing they asked me was if her name was Melissa. They have had similar, multiple negative experiences with her and are going elsewhere for vet services.
I'm giving such a low rating for the attitude I received and horrible communication skills of this clinic. I called around 1 and talked to the lady on the phone, being very clear with me that I could still bring my puppy in for her first round of shots because that's considered essential (a puppy without any vaccines is risking getting sick) I got the clear. Took my dog here to get a dental exam, they were not able to do an exam at that time and said he would need to be sedated for an actual exam. After that I was given a price sheet with a $1400 total for things they are guessing would need to be done along with a credit card application , meds prices were higher priced then what i can get them for anywhere else. fees for other services were very high. Just dont. Especially do not see Dr Hughes. Shes awful, rude, chooses to stay uneducated in a ever changing world of pet health and doesnt care to ask pertinent questions about your pet before making assumptions. I know Value Pet is not a great place to begin with but I figured for just vaccines it would be a doable visit. Nope, it wasnt. Dont trust Dr Hughes with your pet, not even for vaccines. Don't take your pets here. Ridiculous wait times (I took two dogs and it took four hours for them to get simple physicals and vaccines) and the staff seem as if they have no idea what they are doing. I was treated as a complete inconvenience the entire time (especially when my poor dog got sick and threw up in the exam room-I asked for paper towels and the receptionist seemed annoyed and took forever to bring them to me).
