There was a line out the door upon arriving, but it did move faster than expected. It is a sit down restaurant so no need to look for seating. The food is made to order, that being said it was served fast. The prices are a bit steep per item, but the portions are worth it. They do not skimp on the meat! I had a taco de Suadero, a quesadilla de Adobada, and a an Asada Vampiro. Each item had so much flavor, I definitely recommend them all. Didn't have the room to try everything I wanted but I will be returning for more. Tacos ... read more
Good tacos, but they were all very watery. I think the beans that they added weren't cooked enough, and it made the whole taco watery. We went right at 11am when they opened, and it seemed like the food wasn't quite ready. It seems like it could be better, and the Michelin recognition must mean something. They only recently opened, so I'm going to give it a second try later on to see if they've improved.
Drove from Los Angeles just to see if these tacos were better than Tacos El Gordo, they did not disappoint. But what stood out more than even the food was the service! Arlette made us genuinely feel at home! She made sure she checked up on us every few minutes, maybe that's why our food was coming out so fast! It was a 10/10 on the food and a 10/10 on the service as well. I'm willing to drive from Los Angeles again just for the experience.
Tacos El Franc is fantastic. Great service and even better food. Nothing better than some awesome tacos and a caguama!
servings on the tacos are great adobada is okay not to die for I tried cabeza and carne asada those were really good i would come back a second time with my family.
Great food, great service! The food was fresh, and well seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed the adobada and carne asada tacos as well as the cheese quesadilla. Alexa was great her service was perfect and her personality is what really put a bow on our meal. Thanks Sean ans Sherrie
Waited a bit of time for the hype to die down. We waited in line for ten minutes, not too bad. We were seated and given menus. Service was pretty fast and the tacos came out faster. It is very large inside, and an even larger outside patio to sit at. Am not too thrilled about the $5 tacos. Did not feel like it exceeds the taste of any other large and well known taco establishments.
I feel compelled to write this review due to the incredible experience I had. I have been a patron at the location in Tijuana for quite some time now. I recently moved to San Diego and found out they had opened location in the USA... I had to check it out. The food is fantastic. I had their famous adobada taco, their asada taco and their suadero taco. All were well above a great taco standard. The tortillas made from scratch and each taco had their unique preparation with designated sauced and toppings. I cant speak on any o... read more
Definitely not up to par with the original TJ spot. And they charge $5 bucks for the cebollitas and chiles, and they were cold, for something that Tacos El Gordo hands out for free. The table service was great though. And the crane asada tacos come with beans, although it is not listed on the menu, I dont know if the beans are used as filler, but a carne asada taco does not usually come with beans, and if it does, it is usually listed on the menu.
