The food was delicious! Mixto fries, tacos de cabeza (excellent), tripa ( very good and crunchy), adobado ( good and kinda spicy) and carne asada quesadilla. Everything was great tasting. One star removed because they had a lot of workers but looked like only one took the orders, dropped the bill, paid for the food at the table and also delivered drinks. Him being so busy that it delayed the process and had to wait to order food and to pay for the meal. Also a lot of flies on the patio. Maybe some fly catchers?

fast service, nice staff, good food carne asada tacos were my fav, nice smoky flavor and beans were so yum - different than what i expected adobada not my favorite, still soft and decent flavor but i prefer TEG adobada suadero was also good i would get this again, better than TEGs imo adobada quesadilla was decent as well, fair price and generous meat portion, but would get tacos over quesadilla next time

Gave your spot another chance, I tried the tripa tacos and they were delicious. Tried adobada tacos and I asked for less guac and tasted good. I think for my taste buds I'll stick with tripa adobada and suadero. Thanks

This is the place to go for authentic street tacos and more. In my first visit I ordered the usual carne asada and adobada tacos. So much flavor and overflowing ingredients. I could have made 2 more tacos with all the meat that fell out. My go to order is the Mixta Quesadilla. A combination of asada and adobada meat. So delicious and overflowing with meat and very generous with the guacamole. On my next visit, I'm going to try the lengua tacos. A bunch of people in my group ordered the lengua and loved it! I have to say, this place is just as amazing as the one in Tijuana! The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Every time we visit, we're seated right away, and the service is quick and delightful. If you're craving TJ-style tacos, I highly recommend this spot! The ambiance is fantastic too--definitely a must-try!

Okay let's talk about it! My husband saw this place on IG. We had a few say it was cool too. Finally we decided to try it today. Its plaza Bonita so parking is hitting or miss. We arrived around 4:30 and were seated immediately. They have inside and outside seating available, we sat outside. Our waitress came over took drink and food orders at the same time. I had high hopes for Tacos El Frank in San Diego, and honestly -- they delivered. This place brings a little taste of Mexico just across the border, and they're doing it right. I have visited this place four times since it opened at its new location at Plaza Bonita Mall. The taste of these tacos are great, but unfortunately they are using low quality meat. The reason I say this is because the four times we have eaten here the meat has had a lot of nerve in it. ( Carne Asada )! The service and cleanliness and atmosphere were all great. The staff was very helpful with ordering and the food was brought out super quick. I think a self serve salsa bar would have made the experience top notch for me. I got asada, adobada, and cabeza. Their salsas were very flavorful. Their meat marinade was also good.
