First time eating here this past Monday. The food was delicious, I recommend the Birria quesadilla. Service was good. The ambiance was chill outside. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. No reservations needed. Plenty of parking outside.

Business response:

Hi, Sofia. We are thrilled to learn that you had a positive experience with us!

Had to come and try the tacos to see if they really tasted like the ones across the border. Flavor is pretty close on the suadero and carne asada, but there was something that was a little different from the ones in TJ. I can't tell if it was either the seasoning or the meat as I heard the meat at the zona rio location is fresh as the owner also owns a butcher shop in TJ. Now the tacos were good I'm just comparing them to the TJ ones. I also ordered my fav agua de naranja (can be overly sweet) and the frijoles preparados (be... read more

Pros: Service, atmosphere, clean, and time Cons: Food Finally got a chance to try this place when it wasn't busy. Had a great experience coming here, shoutout to the service and the staffs for keeping everything clean. Food was decent though. I ordered adobada and asada tacos. Good size for a taco too.

Business response:

Hi, Benjamin. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!

I had been hearing good things about their Tijuana location for years, so when they opened this location I decided it was finally time to try it out. Unlike another great taco shop in the area which will remain nameless, this isn't a place where you get your meal at the counter then find a table (if you're lucky) to eat at, it's more of a fast casual place, where they come and take your order then serve you the food. Everything we ordered was top quality. I stuck with carne asada tacos, but my wife chose a lengua tostada, wh... read more

I should start off that my first encounter with Tacos El Franc was my wife making a spontaneous stop and doing takeout. We live sorta close but even then, food had cooled a bit and our initial thoughts were "it's just okay". So when my friends and I decided for a little high school reunion and several through out TEF I was a bit apprehensive. However, one of my buds lived in TJ so if anyone of our gang knew what they were talking about it was him. Eating in did not disappoint. Despite having 7 of us on a Saturday night we... read more

Business response:

Hola Jeff!! We’re so glad you gave us another shot. Indeed, tacos are not great travelers. We try our best to have our guests dine in. As it’s the best way to eat tacos. We have other products that travel great such as the beef tallow fries you had this time from your friends’. Thank you so very much for taking the time to write your experience. It helps readers know the truth about El Franc. We hope to see you, your wife and friends become part of the TEF family. We would love to have you back. Next time you’re... read more

ITacos El Franc is a great spot if you go during non-peak hours--it's easy to get a table and the service is fast. The carne asada is delicious, and the suadero tacos are amazing. I also like their system where they bring the food straight to your table quickly. The only downside is they charge extra for onions and jalapeños, which I feel should be included, especially considering the tacos are already a bit pricey. Still, the overall experience is great, and it's a place I'd go back to every so often for good quality tacos.

Great place to grub. Prices are what it is. Taste is great. I will be back. Maybe the TJ location to see if the original and this US location taste the same.

Prepare to get your hands dirty at this buzzing restaurant! You will need plenty of napkins after holding these tacos which come loaded with toppings. The meat and salsa flavors were rich but almost bordering on overbearing. Given the restaurant's hot ratings, the tacos met my expectations but I still prefer Tacos El Gordo's balance. To my surprise, and different than other taco shops, you're welcomed by a host and seated at a table with a waiter or waitress assisting you. This was a pleasant experience compared to standin... read more
