My family couldn't believe how good the tacos were. We kept placing orders for more. And we're from L.A. - we've tried a lot of tacos. And they had the most refreshing orange agua Fresca. We ordered one to take home. Arlette was our server - and she was terrific. Thanks for the brisket recommendation. It was my favorite!

We had such a great experience. Our server, Arlette, truly made the evening special. She was warm, attentive, and had an amazing knowledge of the menu, giving us great recommendations. She checked in just the right amount without making us feel rushed. Her friendly attitude and professionalism really stood out. The food was delicious, but Arlette's service is what will bring us back again.

Went to Tacos El Franc for the first time. No line at 1:30; perfect. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. Ordered to go. The order came out quickly. A couple of things I want to mention is that there were beans, unexpectedly, on the tacos. The meat was abundant but it already had salsa included, without direction, and no salsa was offered. I would give them 10 stars!!! Being from TJ and growing up eating QUALITY TACOS!!! has been hard to find on the US side of the border. OH BOY!!! the are not skimpy with anything, salsas are delicious and meats as well. I had Asada, adobada and tripe DELICIOUS. Very clean place, legendary customer serve, SPEEEED OF SERVICE!!! our order was served in less than 10 minutes, I think it took me longer to decide what to order than have it on my table. If you want to avoid the trip to TJ THISIS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE REAL DEAL!

Delicious tacos, efficient line process to check in. Come at off hours because it can get crowded. Stuff came within minutes of ordering with our server. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely be back. The carne asada and the mixto were my favorite. Also FYI no pollo on the menu here!

Food: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Adobada is alright but ASADA is where it's at. The place is really nice and clean; people were really nice too. Adobada I'd personally say tacos el gordo is better but asada was freaking fire. Recommend. Would NOT wait in a 2-hour line for this tho.

Finally had a chance to try Tacos El Franc the new restaurant location in Plaza Bonita Blvd, National City, CA. The restaurant opened in June of 2025 and every time we tried going, the line was out the door with a long wait time. We got here at 4:30pm and there was no line. So we tried the following tacos and sharing the best to least favorite: 1. Suadero Tacos -WINNER! 2. Carne Asada -Generous amount of guacamole. 3. Cabeza -Very tender 4. Lengua -A bit dry 5. Very good tacos! Service was prompt and the ambiance was decent; restaurant is located at Plaza Bonita Mall so there's a lot of traffic coming in and out, therefore, loud voices and noises to talk over. Parking is free but depending on the time of day and probably the season, it can be difficult to find something close by but again it's at a mall so if you don't mind walking, you'll be fine.
