Perhaps not as good as the original in Tijuana but, definitely one of the best places for carne asada tacos in San Diego.

Worth the wait! Woww this place is phenomenal!! The tacos were so delicious and honestly some of the best tacos I've ever had. It was such an easy and fast process. The menu is simple but also have variety. It's super Clean and the nicest staff! We tried the adobado, asada and they have a mixed option! They also have quesadillas and multiple options for them. We got the plain one. It was fire.

Delicious spot for tacos! We came on a Sunday around 11:30 am and were seated promptly. It's spacious and modern inside with a good amount of tables. My sister and I ordered one asada and one adobada taco each. Both were delicious, tender, flavorful and loaded with meat and guac. The adobada had some char to it so it was nice and crispy. Both had a little kick so I will get no beans and salsa for the asada next time lol. Food came out really quick and service was nice. Would definitely be back!

Super yummy tacos! I've been wanting to come here since it opened. We came on a Sunday around 11:30AM and were seated right away! My sister and I both got one carne asada taco and one adobada taco each. The food came out quickly within a few mins and was hot and fresh. The tacos were filled with meat and guac which I enjoyed; I specified no beans for the carne asada lol. Fast and friendly service. I would come back!

The answer is yes!! You've found this review because you're hungry and searching for tacos and Tacos el Franc will hit the spot! This is my second visit to TEF after visiting the original in Tijuana. This San Diego based taco shop has been highly anticipated for a few months and you can see the line out of the door at its new Bonita shopping mall based expansion. Visited Taco El Franc for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The steak taco had a nice grilled, smoky flavor that really set it apart from other TJ tacos I've tried. I also ordered the cabeza tacos, which were flavorful and rich with good fats--exactly why I enjoy cabeza. That said, if you're not a fan of fatty cuts, I'd recommend sticking with the steak or adobada tacos instead. Overall, a solid spot worth checking out! I made sure to let them know, no beans in my tacos. I prefer in on the size.
