Boy did I leave this place with a sour taste in my mouth. My dog needed a check up and we had a bunch of questions regarding the medications she'd have to take and how long it would take for things to heal. My mom's first language is not English, but she still tries her best to ask questions for clarification sake. After a few questions from my mom, the lady at the check out desk developed had an attitude. My mom loves our dog and just wanted to make sure she'd be okay. There's no need to be rude.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! First off, I've been taking my dog here for her diabetes and insulin for a couple years. 200 dollars for just some simple lab work. They would sell you the syringes but wouldn't take them back. As of yesterday our little girl (chihuahua) had to be put down. They charged us 200 hundred dollars to put her down! Not to mention you have to pay 45 dollars to stay in the room with your dog to be put down. Secondly before this happened my brother took his German Shepherd in to have a small... read more
One star goes to this place because I have to pick one to actually leave a review. The only thing good I can say about this vet is that Dr. Henderson was nice and very professional. The customer service from the women at the check in desk was absolutely horrible. They were very unwelcoming, rude and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I have gone twice this week, once for a new puppy exam and another for a second opinion on my other dog who is ten and was attacked in the parking lot of petsmart by another dog. Dr. Henderson was the ve... read more
On average there are 3 sets of puppy shots needed. They will say they recommend 4 sets at their Saturday clinic. Then our puppy gets an allergic reaction to the vaccinations, when we took the puppy in, they were more concerned about their closing time than the welfare of our pet. We found the Vet Techs unprofessional and will be taking our little girl elsewhere.
We went in today for shots and a bath for my cat. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and short with us. When a different lady came out with my cat and I asked her some questions she didn't answer my question or seem to care. She just mumbled and went to the back. If these women don't like their job then quit! You have to have good customer service especially for some people who consider their pets to be like their children.
Having four pets, I've been overall happy with the service my pets have received here. However, unfortunately this review is about one of the horrendous receptionist named Taco. He was incredibly unprofessional not even taking down the name I gave him the first time I called. An hour and a half later, he calls back claims that he didn't write the name down and that he can't hear that well. Which is unbelievable. It should take over an hour to look up something and get a refill for my pets medicine. As I tell him that if ther... read more
I just moved to the area and have been trying to find a good vet. Where I moved from they had a non profit low cost vet where no appointment was needed for shots. $10 or less a shot! I loved it... So I know I'm not going to find that out here.. So I decided to try out this vet on a Saturday during their vaccine clinic times. The parking was ok. The place was nice and cold and clean. I did not like the vet tech. He seemed like he didn't know a thing. Which really worried me as I handed off my little 5 pound pup. He also tried... read more
Telegraph Canyon Animal Center is one worst places to take a pet. First, they are ridiculously expensive - expect to get a bill for $400 or $500 for even the simplest things. Second, and most important, is that they refuse to give you a written prescription. California law requires a prescribing veterinarian to offer to give a written prescription to a client so that the client may elect to have the prescription filled by the prescriber or by a pharmacy. Business and Professions Code of the AVMA Sec. 4170, Article 12 Pre... read more
My dog rarely had medical issues so she only came for annual exams. The veterinarian would come in and do the regular scope and physical exam. She would give some recommendations and then say "OK, I'll be right back." FYI she NEVER comes back, so if you have questions/concerns, express them before she leaves the room. The assistant is the one that comes back and gives a bill of all the medicines, labs, etc. that were ordered. You slowly accept the large bill, pay, and leave hoping that the vet knows what they're doing. The ... read more
