Terrible customer service! The City of Chula Vista has leash laws! This vet allows clients with dogs without leashes to stay inside their waiting room. The front desk staff would not 1) tell the pet owner to use a free leash, 2) put the pet in a private waiting room, or 3) ask the person with a dog and no leash to leave the premises.

We have 2 dogs we bring here and the vets here are very friendly and thorough. Unfortunately it's very time consuming. Whatever time your appointment is, don't expect to be seen until 30-45 minutes after (it's been like this for most of our visits). The ladies at the front desk do not have any customer service skills, not friendly whatsoever. They are very short with you have no sense of urgency to help customers check in or out. On our last visit, the time with the vet and vaccines took a total of 10 minutes, maybe less, bu... read more

We came to this hospital first in November when we moved to the area and our Saint Bernard needed to be put down due to his cancer. At that time, the front desk ladies were so kind, the older male doctor had great bedside manner, and they even offered us a military discount. I was thoroughly surprised. Then came time to pick up remains - they had said the ashes would be available that Friday (he was euth'd on mon). Well I called on Friday afternoon to ask if he was available for pickup as I hadn't received a call. First, the... read more

I've always loved this place. The last two visits have been extremely abysmal. This facility has a policy that the owners are not allowed to be present when their pets are being worked on, this makes sense to me for surgery and major procedures. Our Frenchie pup has been extremely afraid of the vet since he had a foxtail removed from his nose in the ER. He will bark and be mouthy but never bites. We are well aware of this so when our pup went in for an Allergy test (blood draw) I told them that my husband could help calm hi... read more

Business response:

Hi Rachel, First and foremost thank you for your feedback, it truly is appreciated and our only way to try and become better. We would like to offer a no-charge eye medication for his current condition, and Valium or a different form of low-end sedative for future visits since he has a hard time in the treatment area. We would also like to offer a recheck at no charge for the eye in 10 days. It is my understanding Tina spoke with you and discussed the recommendations from Dr. H as well. We sincerely apologize this occurred, ... read more

I took my dog in the get a prescription for flea and tick meds and she needed a blood test for this prescription. She doesn't like anyone, me included grabbing her feet and resists, which i explained to the vet. so they take her into the back and have me go to the waiting area, then all i can hear is my dog screaming and yelping in the back. I asked the lady at the desk to go back and tell them to stop abusing my dog or i'm coming over the counter. A minute later the vet brings her out and says she won't cooperate and th... read more

I have been going here for years with different pets. Today I took in my puppy for her third boosters. I hade the rudest Technician by the name of Paco for each question I asked he was very condescending it was very uncomfortable. I just wanted to get out. He was short and rude. If I go back I will refuse to have him see my puppy. This was also the first time my puppy had the most discomfort after her boosters!!!

Business response:

Hello Nydia, I am sorry you did not have the best experience during your last visit. We take your review into true consideration to improve ourselves for the experience of your pet and yourself. I would be more than glad to pair your puppy with another technician during her next visit. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again. Have a wonderful day.

They found a way to wipe negative reviews. I do internet optimization for a living. I will figure this out. Most of the negative comments i read a week ago are gone. My dog has a major inflammation in the area. Im scared to take her back. They say its free, but i seriously doubt it. Ill keep everyone posted.

Business response:

Hello Christopher, On June 27th when your appointment was initially made you gave an estimated weight range between 41-70# (which is $120.00), on July 8th when your pet came in she weighed 74 pounds which bumps her up into the next weight range of 71-100# which is $155.00 for the spay. You were also charged $33.00 for dis-solvable sutures that you elected to have placed, and $16.00 for a 30 inch e-collar. Your initial total was $204.00 but you were then charged for the less weight range spays and your total ended up $169.00.... read more

I really want to like this vet but they haven't made it easy to do that. My dog is just over a year old so luckily hasn't had many issues requiring the need to go to the vet. However, the two times I did need to bring him in, there was no real sense that they cared at all about what was going on with him. When you call the vet that usually means that you pet needs to be seen. Today I called and asked to be seen on Saturday. The response was that they were already fully booked but they could see him next Saturday. How is this... read more
