I've gone to this clinic for 3 years and have love the veterinary care the doctors give my dog. Yet, the business side of this place has some very serious issues with communication. First, no person ever answers the phone. Emails and texts are rarely returned. Finally, my dog is diabetic and needs insulin. If refills run out, it's like pulling teeth to get anyone to help or call in a prescription to a pharmacy. Twice now I've run out of medication because of the lack of effective support of this place. I cant blame co... read more
If you truly love your dog I promise you need to stay away from this place! My dog went to get neutered in May and they completely over charged us. The lady on the phone told us it would be less than $100 and we ended up paying over $200 for unnecessary additional charges we didn't need. Today (July 28th) I find this sticking out of where he had stitches! MIND YOU HE GOT DISSOLVABLE STITCHES SO WTF IS THIS! He has been picking at it for months and every time I checked I couldn't find anything until today it finally stuck out... read more

Thank you for giving me a call and talking about your concerns. I hope we were able to answer your questions and address your concerns. Hello Alexis - please refer to the message we have sent over to you. We would like to address your concerns about invoice total and the steel suture in your picture. Thank you.
This place always gets us with extra money. They always say my dog needs more medication when actually she doesn't! I took my dog for a second opinion and they said she didn't need that medication. Also, they make you buy a medication just in case and when it's not needed (new) they sell you a different medication more expensive! They should care about the animals not the money!!! Shame on them

Thank you for your feedback, Nancy. It is always our intention to provide a high-level of service for each and every pet. Any recommendations made by our doctors are based on over 75 years of combined experience, and are always discussed with the owner before treatments begin and also again before a pet is sent home. Our hospital is not one that encourages overselling and needlessly offering anything for the pet that the doctor does not feel with help improve their overall health. If you would like to discuss this further, p... read more
Brought my 8 week old pup for a wellness check. Made an appointment through their website, which was super easy. Showed up 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I was then told there was no record of my appointment. I showed the woman assisting me my confirmation email. She seemed annoyed, probably because it was crazy busy, but still no need to take out annoyed/frustrated feelings on (new) clients. No one was allowed inside because of social distancing practices, so she asks to borrow my phone, I'm assuming to show the ve... read more
So I came in today to the vet clinic knowing that it will take a while to be attended for my dog to get her shots. This wasn't the first time coming to this clinic. I was there for maybe 10 minutes and they called out my dogs first name and i was surprised that they called her in that quick. Which I dont really like that they dont allow the owner to go with their dog. A few minutes pass and the nurse comes back with my dog and I'm waiting for them to call my name. Then this lady comes in that was waiting outside saying that ... read more

We are so glad you experienced a great visit here with us! Our patients and clients are our top priority. See you next time (:
Terrible customer service! The City of Chula Vista has leash laws! This vet allows clients with dogs without leashes to stay inside their waiting room. The front desk staff would not 1) tell the pet owner to use a free leash, 2) put the pet in a private waiting room, or 3) ask the person with a dog and no leash to leave the premises.
We have 2 dogs we bring here and the vets here are very friendly and thorough. Unfortunately it's very time consuming. Whatever time your appointment is, don't expect to be seen until 30-45 minutes after (it's been like this for most of our visits). The ladies at the front desk do not have any customer service skills, not friendly whatsoever. They are very short with you have no sense of urgency to help customers check in or out. On our last visit, the time with the vet and vaccines took a total of 10 minutes, maybe less, bu... read more

We came to this hospital first in November when we moved to the area and our Saint Bernard needed to be put down due to his cancer. At that time, the front desk ladies were so kind, the older male doctor had great bedside manner, and they even offered us a military discount. I was thoroughly surprised. Then came time to pick up remains - they had said the ashes would be available that Friday (he was euth'd on mon). Well I called on Friday afternoon to ask if he was available for pickup as I hadn't received a call. First, the... read more

I've always loved this place. The last two visits have been extremely abysmal. This facility has a policy that the owners are not allowed to be present when their pets are being worked on, this makes sense to me for surgery and major procedures. Our Frenchie pup has been extremely afraid of the vet since he had a foxtail removed from his nose in the ER. He will bark and be mouthy but never bites. We are well aware of this so when our pup went in for an Allergy test (blood draw) I told them that my husband could help calm hi... read more

Hi Rachel, First and foremost thank you for your feedback, it truly is appreciated and our only way to try and become better. We would like to offer a no-charge eye medication for his current condition, and Valium or a different form of low-end sedative for future visits since he has a hard time in the treatment area. We would also like to offer a recheck at no charge for the eye in 10 days. It is my understanding Tina spoke with you and discussed the recommendations from Dr. H as well. We sincerely apologize this occurred, ... read more
