I took my dog in the get a prescription for flea and tick meds and she needed a blood test for this prescription. She doesn't like anyone, me included grabbing her feet and resists, which i explained to the vet. so they take her into the back and have me go to the waiting area, then all i can hear is my dog screaming and yelping in the back. I asked the lady at the desk to go back and tell them to stop abusing my dog or i'm coming over the counter. A minute later the vet brings her out and says she won't cooperate and th... read more

I have been going here for years with different pets. Today I took in my puppy for her third boosters. I hade the rudest Technician by the name of Paco for each question I asked he was very condescending it was very uncomfortable. I just wanted to get out. He was short and rude. If I go back I will refuse to have him see my puppy. This was also the first time my puppy had the most discomfort after her boosters!!!

Business response:

Hello Nydia, I am sorry you did not have the best experience during your last visit. We take your review into true consideration to improve ourselves for the experience of your pet and yourself. I would be more than glad to pair your puppy with another technician during her next visit. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again. Have a wonderful day.

They found a way to wipe negative reviews. I do internet optimization for a living. I will figure this out. Most of the negative comments i read a week ago are gone. My dog has a major inflammation in the area. Im scared to take her back. They say its free, but i seriously doubt it. Ill keep everyone posted.

Business response:

Hello Christopher, On June 27th when your appointment was initially made you gave an estimated weight range between 41-70# (which is $120.00), on July 8th when your pet came in she weighed 74 pounds which bumps her up into the next weight range of 71-100# which is $155.00 for the spay. You were also charged $33.00 for dis-solvable sutures that you elected to have placed, and $16.00 for a 30 inch e-collar. Your initial total was $204.00 but you were then charged for the less weight range spays and your total ended up $169.00.... read more

I am sorry you feel this way, we care for your pets like one of our own on every occasion. At this time we are in a bit of a tight situation. We are usually a three doctor practice, and right now we are down a full time doctor. Unfortunately, we are scheduling out a week ahead if there is availability. If your pet needs immediate attention we recommend visiting the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center which is located at 885 Canarios Court Suite 108 Chula Vista CA 91910. At this point, we are also referring patients to other vet... read more

I really want to like this vet but they haven't made it easy to do that. My dog is just over a year old so luckily hasn't had many issues requiring the need to go to the vet. However, the two times I did need to bring him in, there was no real sense that they cared at all about what was going on with him. When you call the vet that usually means that you pet needs to be seen. Today I called and asked to be seen on Saturday. The response was that they were already fully booked but they could see him next Saturday. How is this... read more

Two years ago I would've given this business five stars. The vets are fantastic the vet techs are great but the office management has become so poor that you can have a 2 o'clock appointment and not get to see the vet for an entire hour. What if you had to make an anxious child wait at pediatricians office for an hour. Kind of the same thing. If this it only happened one time it would be understandable but the long wait times have become the norm not the exception. So unless you have a whole lot of time on your hands I would... read more

Business response:

Hello Theresa, Thank you for your feedback. Getting a better flow of visit for our clients has been brought to our attention and we are trying to work around getting people in and out and their pets cared for as quickly and efficiently as possible. The highest quality of care your pet can receive is always our top priority. Again, thank you for your feedback and I will share it with the rest of the management team and our ideas to get the wait time in order. Thank you.

We all know there are good and bad vets out there and after 7 years I'm finally admitting this is a bad one. I started going here 7 years ago when I adopted my dog from a shelter and this is where they sent her to be spayed. We had no issues with them and started taking her to their shot clinics. Luckily she's been a healthy dog and I've never had to bring her here for anything else. So all was fine until I adopted another dog this summer who's got health problems: Ehrlichia and dry eye. Telegraph Canyon was on the list of p... read more

I'm writing this review as I sit in the EMERGENCY room for my poor kitty, Loki. I brought him in today for a normal procedure, to get neutered. I brought him home and he started bleeding out...everywhere! I called the emergency hospital number from the answering machine and the vet indicated that Male cats who get neutered should not be bleeding like this. I feel terrible for bringing him in and getting butchered like this. Apparently you get what you pay for at this place and end up shelling out twice the cash for the emerg... read more

While I continue to take my dogs here (and have for the better part of 15 years), TCAMC really isn't the same since Dr. Henderson slowly began to transition out. Since then, I have had appointments cancelled, prescriptions refused because I was told my dog needed an appointment when he had just had a check-up, and some general unprofessionalism. One experience with Dr. Benedek in particular was unsettling. I brought my dog in for a lump on his leg. Dr. Benedek told me it could be a tumor or it could be nothing and would ev... read more
