You could start by letting people know that if they are self employed they need to have 2 years worth of verifiable income. You could also let them know what is considered verifiable income for self employment. Better communication up front by loan officers so lending objectives are understood for purpose of modeling. Make sure your processing team is aligned with your document processing software and that they are trained to perform simple tasks like opening files shared by cloud drives such as Google. Stick to closing appointment times.
I eventually started with. Mathew Morgan with idea of consolidating my debt and lowering my interest rate. Matt is a great guy and a hard worker. I started the loan process in September and finally gave up in January without a loan. I have never missed a payment and have an excellent credit score. It took way longer than I expected to complete this process. This process was very painful. Every time I provided answers, paperwork, etc they came back & asked for more and much of it seemed to be very picky, minor things.. Also, it shouldn’t take an hour and a half just to sign the paperwork, which it did! Bottom line...it was easier purchasing my home than it was to refinance it!! I never expected to be this much trouble to refinance!

Took 110 days to close. Horrible communication and follow up. Only one who was helpful was Taylor. Everyone seemed confused during the whole process. I will definitely recommend family and friends go elsewhere

I started my refinance journey in September of 2020, and did not close until January of 2021. The communication was horrific. Phone calls were never returned and e mail responses were scarce. I have several friends wanting to refinance, but I told them to avoid Texas Lending.

Completely functional, just don't expect a high level of engagement of communication. Of the 15 phone messages I left for my broker, 0 were ever returned. 8 days post closing and my original mortgage still has not cleared and phone calls and emails are still not being returned. Assuming that I would get anymore engagement after closing is my issue.
