Lack of communication, bad experience from the beginning. Ended up ok but took from August to December to get the deal done. Felt like a number rather than a customer. Wouldn't use them again if I was given the choice. There are way more choices that would love to have the business.

When my rate was first quoted to me it was without points. Then it was priced with .25 bpts which I thought was going to be waived at closing. I asked this before esign if the first set of docs & was told the fees would come out at closing. Then I was told that was for an attorney to verify that I pay my taxes every year for the next 30 years. I have never NOT paid my property taxes. Everything from immediately following my loan application through my closing was an absolute disaster and disappointment. If I could give negative stars, that is what you would earn. What was originally quailed as being a 45 days close took 73 days plus 5 more because of the weekend to actually finalize. I experienced rudeness and unprofessional behavior. TV Commercial says 21 days to close, processors tell you 45 days. It took 73 days to close and fund a refi of 40% equity and good credit. there is an opportunity for much better communication.

DO NOT use Texas Lending unless for some reason your transaction is not affected by closing late. It is NOT worth any amount of savings to go through the stress I just went through. I used Texas Lending after comparing rates and fees and seeing lots of 5-star Google reviews. Maybe they’ve had a tough time keeping up with demand given the historically low interest rates this year, but my experience these past 6 weeks was horrifying.
