Disappointed with our trip to the boozy cow. Had been looking forward to it on our trip. We arrived and were seated without menus until we had to ask for them. I ordered the “sliders” and was told they wherent available so I ordered popcorn chicken and a side of bbq sauce and cheesy bacon fries. Food came, without bbq sauce and without bacon on fries. Nice place, theme & decor, food tasted great (the food that we managed to have) Server Sophie was great but then I think her shift ended. Drinks & starters came out quick but then we waited over an hour for our mains (a table of 5 or 6 who arrived well after us received all their food very quickly). We ended up having to cancel our mains because we would have been late to the event we were going to. Overall this completely ruined the experience that had started well. Won’t be returning or recommending.

We were very disappointed in the service, we were shown to our seats then nobody came near us, while other groups were being seated all around us and drinks and food orders were being taken and brought to their tables. We had to go to the bar for drinks and then one of our group had to go and find someone to take the order. There was no apologies for missing us out. Restaurant was fairly empty but had to wait around 20-25 minutes to order. Food came fairly fast which was good. Disappointed the burgers didnt come with chips on the side. Asked for the bill and this took 15-20 minutes to come. It was also my partner’s birthday. It was also another tables birthday and this gentleman received a candle in his burger and was sung happy birthday. I was disappointed that my partner did not receive the same treatment. Food nothing special, Nacho's cheese had no flavour, philly cheese steak average and the Boozy Wagyu well over priced, definitely not worth the 10% service charge

I will definitely pass this onto our head chef so he can rectify/improve the dishes. With regards to the service charge, this should have been brought to your attention when settling up the bill. It will have state that it is optional on the menu.
Visited boozy cow a year ago and thought this was one of my favourite places to eat, was super excited to go back. However has gone down hill since. Disappointed to see the food menu changed. Burger was very average. Service was slow and only one guy who was running the gaf looked to care. Also felt like we were forgotten about due to where we sat. Would be a zero if it was an option, took 45 minutes to get a drink to my table, attempted to order food 10 minutes afterwards then after ordering it was told they didn’t have it 10 minutes later.

Waited 40 minutes for cocktails. The food was below average. Service was shocking - the girl host didn't care and was rude. She just dropped the food and cocktails on a tray in the corner of the table and walked away. No personality at all. The new girl was extremely slow and could at least drop us drinks to keep us happy. It wasn't busy at all. It ruined the vibe on the last day in Edinburgh. We were recommended this place and everyone was disappointed. Not coming back.

Food was tasty - Chicken & lime burger, spicy veg burger and cheesy fries, with pints of cold town lager. Honestly, the service was a bit lacking though. Bar staff sent us back to the door to wait for the greeter. The very pleasant waitress forgot about us for a good 25 minutes with only water on the table. When I did catch her she was very apologetic and took our order. When the drinks hadn’t arrived after another 10 minutes I asked why.
