This is a great Veterinary clinic and the BEST place in New Orleans to bring your kitty. Dr Cousins is a great veterinarian, and the other vets and assistants on staff are very competent. The ladies at the reception desk are very friendly and well organized. I really can't say enough good things about this place!

I love this office. It is quiet and calm. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a cat spa. For me, it was great that my little girl didn't have to hear barking dogs because she is very afraid of them and gets nervous. I brought her to the Cat Practice because she had been suffering with a skin condition that her vet was not familiar with. Dr. Nelson knew exactly what was going on with her. Recently moved to NOLA and needed to find a new vet. I wanted to get a cat only office and selected The Cat Practice based on a number of positive online reviews. Have only been once but it was a great visit. They spent a ton of time with us, listening to each concern or item we wanted to discuss about our cat. Each item was fully addressed. The Cat Practice is the only vet where I have have consistently gotten honest care for my beloved cats that actually works. They are definitely one of the more expensive vets I have been to in the Uptown area ($57.99 for an exam) but they are so loving and dedicated and kind and gentle. They never push expensive procedures or tests (within medical reason) unless they've offered alternatives. I don't have enough good things to say about The Cat Practice. I just moved to Nola and went to another vet first and felt rushed. Not here. Everyone from the receptionist to nurses to doctor were all so kind and caring. They didn't rush me at all when I asked numerous questions about my cat. Also its a cat only clinic so I think the cars are more relaxed and its a calmer environment. Plus the area where they keep them overnight is clean and the rooms are spacious. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience has been with Dr. Cousins and Dr. Nelson. I am one of those pet owners who was dealt the card of the "not so nice" kitty, Addie. From the beginning I let them know of her personality and they put me at ease stating that this wasn't their first encounter with a cat like mine and surely it wouldn't be there last. The care received at the Cat Practice couldn't possibly be ranked too highly. Dr. Cousins is an excellent healthcare provider and is clearly dedicated to the care of cats. His staff, from the front desk to the techs in the back, are extremely warm and caring. They clearly care about the animals.
