Let me start out by saying that I am obsessed with my cats. They are my babies. My new kitten got sick, but eventually got better with an antihistamine prescribed by an outside vet. Then, my older cat came down with it. I took my older cat to her (now former) vet, who prescribed another antihistamine, after I told her I had tried a little of the kitten's on her and it didn't work. The most professional and knowledgeable veterinarian clinic in town! Dr. Cousins and staff are the absolute best..I've known Dr. Cousins for 20 years. His experience regarding current treatments and drugs for felines is why my 2 beloved cats are in such good health. My oldest cat was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis. Because of the treatment and serviced he received From the cat practice, he is back to good health. I would not trust another vet clinic in this city!
I've been taking my cat to The Cat Practice since adopting her, and I have been nothing but thrilled with the service we've received. They take great care of my cat and always call to check in about her follow-up care. We've been going to The Cat Practice for about 19 years, the knowledge and compassion of felines and thier humans is indescribable. Dr. Cousins and Co. are a class act! From when you are checked in at the front desk til the time you leave you know that they care and are always there. Whether good times or bad they are there for you - they are like our family!!!! This is the best veterinary hospital i've ever been to! the care and attention my mufasa received was unlike any other experience. cats are usually overlooked in general, whether it's a pet store or veterinary practice... and it shocked me it was a practice just for felines ... I noticed they were asking me questions about my little man's life because they were concerned about what was best for him and his living situation... most vets don't ask questions like that, they just update him on his shots, tell me I should get him... read more
The veterinary care that we have received on our last 3 visits has been acceptable, and the staff in the back are very nice. However, I have been treated in a condescending, rude manner by the same staff member at the front desk each time I have had to stop in and pick up medication or ask a question regarding my pet's care. Let me firstly start off by saying that I am a dog owner, not a cat owner. My experience with the cat practice came when my little yip yap dog got lost and was eventually found with many scratches/cuts on her face and bottom. Someone made the suggestion that she was probably attacked by a cat. I went to the cat practice to find out what they thought and what I should do if in fact my dog was attacked by a cat. I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the Cat Practice. My former vet miss-diagnosed (and miss-medicated) my very sick cat after I rushed her in for an emergency appointment one morning. Because my cat got progressively worse, I decided to rush her back to the vet the following morning.
