Staff was unwilling to help and a lot was broken A lot was broken in the hotel room, my friend and I both got stuck in the bathroom because the door would jam on us. Vending machines didn’t work and when I asked staff they told me I was wrong and I contacted customer service and never received a reply. Also received rude looks from staff. It had a nice location for a lower price
Its a place just for sleep if there’s no other place to stay The property is very old, looks very worn out and require maintenance. Restaurant looks terrible The location

Bad Dirty, very bad the worst experience ever
Not the Quality I expected. Disappointed with the quality of this hotel. It looks like a beautiful historic hotel online, but in person it was a disappointing classic that has gone downhill. It was more like a quality Motel. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and polite but the maintenance is more "upkeep" than what I would hope for in a quality historic hotel. It was disappointing and not worth the price tag. I selected a room with a bathtub, there was not a way to “plug” the drain. The rooms are on the small side. A lot of things need to be fixed and or updated. The restaurant that according to the hotel is “one of the best in Michigan Avenue and has stunning interior” is a disaster. Not only are the pictures deceiving online but it’s falling apart! And the menu options are ridiculous! It’s a small one sided menu and the price is outrageous. won’t stay there ever again 1 out of 2 elevators were broken and the one that work was super slow. I had to take my luggage down the stairs not to miss my flight but overall extremely inconvenient it was clean and it a great location
I would like to come and stay again if they renew the plumbing system and the bathrooms The plumbing system sucks. Water coming from the shower is too weak. And once, there was no water coming thru the shower at all and I had to stay in the bathroom with my half rinsed hair. The engineer came to check and fix it later but again the water was too weak. And there is not such a thing to adjust the temperature of the water coming thru the shower at the bath. It is either too hot or too cold. And the bathroom is too small, you ca... read more
