Honestly. If I could give a negative review I would. The worst customer service ever. They've been charging me for months for training that I've never signed up for. I've repeatedly called them to take off my credit card and they still haven't. My credit card has been alerted to this activity and disputes it every time they charge me. This is absolutely ridiculous and they literally just try to steal your money. -100/10 recommend.

I was thinking about rejoining HOWEVER now I see the charge for using the woman's section. WHAT?!? LOL The main floor is always extremely over crowded and extremely loud. I only used the woman's area, as it wasn't as chaotic and loud. Definitely a deal breaker

There are many benefits to the platinum members that include but are not limited to: more classes, all locations, tanning and a complimentary personal training session. For the classes members are required to hand their pass to the instructor to be signed. we do our best to see that basic members are upgrading to access those classes. One of the nicest gyms I've been to. Clean facility open area, nice equipment. However, the staff was less than stellar to say the least. I filled out the special guest pass offer bc I do not live in the area and wanted something temporary. But at the entrance, one of the people behind the desk, John or Jim with the mustache starts explaining its only for current residents, which I do indeed have a valid CT ID. The Edge in Meriden discriminates against women by charging them double if they choose to use the "women-only area." It is a disgusting anti-woman policy that they invented to surcharge us for the "privilege of privacy." I joined the Edge specifically because they had a women only area and at that time I could access it for free. Although the equipment in that room is older and have no frills such as built in fans and phone chargers, I prefer an area where people clean the machines after every use and it is a low key environ... read more

DO NOT OPEN A MEMBERSHIP HERE!! They will never let you cancel!! I mistakenly opened a membership for my husband and I - we went once and were not impressed.. then we moved out of town so I called to cancel, sent emails and requested documentation.. that was August of last year.. to this date they are still taking money out of my account and refusing to refund me or cancel my membership!! Worst customer service ever!! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FOR THEM !!

When I signed up they LIED about cancellation. I'm from California and only lived in CT for 8 months. And when I signed up they told me I could cancel because I have a California license already because I would be moving back to my house so I wouldn't have new bills or a new address or anything. They definitely lied and wanted commission from me signing up and made me pay $100+ to cancel. Im a student and I don't have money to just through away. I'm so disappointed in how disrespectful they were.

Edge commented on my bad review and said to email them because they wanted to make things write. Silly me, I emailed them. Instead of "making things right," they literally found another way to tell me that I had been late on payments and they were not at fault. Like I stated before, this company had taken my card information multiple times. Every time they told me my card didn't work, I would call and they wouldn't have my card info saved correctly. Don't waste your money! The gyms are super crowded and you have to wait to use machines unless you go very very late in the day. Also a couple times I just walked in to use the gym and an employee basically harassed me to use a personal trainer which they want you to get one because it's insanely expensive and would mean more money for them. I moved last summer far from all Edge Fitness locations and I called to cancel my membership and that was a huge mistake because they gave me the hardest time and say you need to pay a c... read more

Signed up about a year ago. They said I could use other debit card to buy drinks and shakes with, that's it. so one month my checking account did not have the proper funds to execute payment so they went to my other ( shake only debit card to take monthly dues that they said they would never do. This happened over and over causing me bounced and over draft fees I didn't know was going on. Hence they send me to collections. About 2 months ago they send me amnesty for collections.
