Posted a review in August after getting jerked around for months about $85.08 in double billings which "management" concedes in writing is due me. It's not even faintly complicated to add that amount to my credit card. I've been repeatedly promised my refund is right around the corner without result. Is overcharging customers who may not bother to check credit card bills or, if they notice, make it so difficult to get a refund that they ultimately give up in disgust part of the Edge business plan? I repeatedly encounter ... read more

I have been a member for over 5 years and have recommended this gym often; however the last year has witnessed a steady management decline to the point where we are not getting our money's worth from organized activities. The Edge Challenge is failing. This week we showed up and no trainer had been scheduled. It took nearly 30 min. for weigh in and we started asking at 8 for an 8:30 class. Weigh-in didn't get organized until well after 8:30, a repeat of last weigh-in. I and many other members are plagued by billing probl... read more

Edge has created these new strong rooms for their classes. In the process, they have stripped the floor of equipment. So people with membership only now have less to work with which is stupid because membership is the bread and butter of any fitness facility. Let me give examples. Any gym that you go to should have kettlebells up to 70 pounds. They have them but it is NOW only available for the classes. They've taken all of the smooth barbells and placed them in the strong room and left the rugged barbells on the main f... read more

Can someone at the gym tell the blonde girl at the corner desk in front to stop shrieking? The only ellipticals that are worth using are less than 10 yards from her desk and at any given moment, she'll let out with some blood-curdling "yelping", which from the looks of it is being done with another employee. It's really unnerving!

Just recently switched over from crunch fitness, I've never experienced a gym where people are rushed out the second the gym is closed. On top of that an announcement every 10 minutes making us aware of the closing time is very excessive and annoying, thinking of switching back

I've been going to this gym for years! And have never had an issue until now. Lately there's been a new employee there who is pretty obnoxious. He feels the need to constantly announce through the speakers when closing time is over & over again. As soon as it turns 10 PM he's walking around the gym yelling, and clapping at people to go home and making smart ass remarks. I know I'm not the only one, because other people have been complaining about his attitude.

Stay away from this gym.. The staff are horrible and don't know what they are doing half of them time. They always harass me when I try to bring a guest because they want my guest to open a membership with them.

Listen, I come from an entrepreneur family and the last thing I want to do is give another business a bad review... BUT with that being said, I have (had) been a member of the Edge for quite some time now. I've been to almost all of their location in my area. When I moved out of the state for college I called and said that I thanked them for their services but it was time to close my account. NOPE. They gave me the run around said I had to contact a 3rd party company to cancel my billing with THE EDGE. Dispute being more tha... read more

Run, run far away. Run so far that you don't even need a gym membership anymore! I've never seen anyone clean their machine after using it, ever. I also never see employees cleaning any equipment. So you can simultaneously push your body AND your immune system to its limits at the The Edge Fitness, Norwalk! Do not join this gym unless you want to remain a member until the day that you die, literally, because that is one of the easiest conditions in which you can cancel your membership: "This contract may also be cancelled if... read more
