Only join this gym if you never plan on moving or trying another gym because it's nearly impossible to cancel this membership. I left for college and tried to cancel. They asked for class schedules, tuition receipts, etc. And when I sent this information they said it wasn't valid. I've been paying for over 4 months for a membership I can't even use. They finally allowed me to cancel but say it will be over next month after they charge me one last time. Completely wrong. Customer service has been bad and I deserve my money ba... read more

The Fitness Edge clubs of Ct has very misleading billing and is very difficult to work with. The iPhone app is a very badly designed UI. Customer service is substandard better club options in the Fairfield and Westport area waiting to end my contract and say goodbye

This gym is crap. They did everything in their power to make me join about a year ago, including but not limited to calling me at work and not letting me leave until I'd talked to almost three sales associated when I wanted to try the gym out. I joined because there was nothing else close by at the time. I've since moved away and have found it near impossible to cancel. Zero customer service. No responses to emails. Sent 4 and did not get one back. On the phone I am told I have to call another number if I don't want to auto renew, they refuse to do it for you. Down bother with this gym. Not worth the aggravation of getting someone to assist.

Good facilities and group classes. Just don't plan on any customer service skills. Poor management and total indifference to their members. You should be ok with being simply a revenue stream for the gym.

It's hard to find gym management that cares less about its customers. To save money they actually eliminated soap dispensers in the showers and paper towels in the bathrooms. You couldn't make this up. Speak to the manager with a suggestion and see how far you get. He's either powerless or feckless--take your pick. LA Fitness offers so much more--and at 80,000 sq. ft. offers everything Fitness Edge offers and then some.

This gym is full of crooks, Andrew the manager at the time when this occurred, continuously lied to my face about how to cancel my personal training classes and would tell me they were canceled and that I wouldn't be charged but the next two months I was charged 800$ for training that was not good and that I could not afford and I even told him I was in a bad financial space and that's why I couldn't continue to do the training and I desperately needed to cancel . I have been a member for years. I recently signed up for training sessions and they overcharged me. I've been trying since October to get a refund; spoke with 3 managers who all tell me they will take care of it but have not yet received my refund. It appears they are not concerned with customer satisfaction.

AVOID SIGNING UP!!! Aside from the fact that the club gives you "non-obligation" free trials of numerous classes/training sessions, then harasses you via phone call to sign up. I signed up for a year, as a cultural exchange student (I can only stay in the country for a maximum of 2 years), I told the Membership Advisor that I may need to move to a new host family within the year.
