At first, this Edge location seemed like a great facility with excellent staff. It wasn't until I required actual customer service that they let me know. I've spent over $1,000 with the edge for personal training. At first, I had tried to cancel personal training back in August. I had a trainer, Emily (who has since been fired), try to re-sign me back up for personal training and talk me into a signature without my knowledge. I have been a loyal member at the edge club in Norwalk. Paying my month dues etc. I recently moved out of state and I informed the sales associate Christine about my move via text/email. To no avail I was charged $152 for yearly dues and past due fees. I was appalled and I contacted the club and spoke with the assistant manager Patrice, who informed me that she was sorry for the mishap and that I had no worries about being charged for the next billing cycle. Ooh I think this is my first negative review cause this place is definitely the worst gym I've experienced. I was never a fan of this gym while I was using it, but it functioned as a place to get a workout in, so I didn't bother leaving a review. When it comes to how they handle money, memberships, cancellations, etc., however, that's a whole different story. I went in to the gym several months before my membership ended to cancel it. I love the strong classes but was not a fan of Sarah Fiore teaching the Strength 60 ES. She did not demonstrate any of the stations we were going to do. She just verbally explained them. For the entire first rotation I had to ask her what we had to do specifically in each station because nothing was demonstrated. Once the class was over we cleaned up and then she quickly left. I would love to have Daquan Harrison back at the 9am Strength 60 ES

I give the Edge a low rating because of their financial processing firm, ABC Financial. First, it takes them two days to respond to an email. What kind of business takes two days to address emails?? I am a student and I am leaving for college in another state. I mistakenly sent them a copy of my invoice for my classes at the school (on school letterhead) instead of a course schedule. They would not accept this as proof of me going away to school. They wanted a course schedule on University letterhead. Please. As if I would p... read more

Would like to rate it but can't even workout yet. Sent this email to them... Good afternoon I have been a member for over 7 or more years at various locations of your gym. I moved from Stratford to Norwalk and with all the hustle I didn't think to physically go to the gym and it didn't cross my mind I would have to transfer my membership to the Norwalk location. The worst customer service ever. The staff here is incompetent, unprofessional, and lacks the ability to communicate properly. They DO NOT talk to each other at all and if you have a problem you'll be explaining yourself over and over again with each person you speak with. I'd cancelled my membership back in 2014 and they claimed they "never got my cancellation" and sent me to collections. ABC financial is garbage. Showed them a signed lease and an offer letter from my company that sent me to Chicago. They still won't end my membership. Shame on them. I loved the Edge but they have an awful partner with ABC financial.

I used a 1 day guest pass for a friend to help me with strength training. The general manager - Jason - came up and asked us to leave in the middle of it! He said because they have a no training policy... and that he was watching on the cameras! (CREEPY) I cancelled my gym membership. I should have listened to my friends who told me there are much better gyms than this one!
