The apartment unit itself was OK, But I was paying almost $1700 for a studio in the shitty part of North Hollywood. I work a lot and barely have any time for "fun", so the only time I'm mostly home is when I'm sleeping. Let me begin by saying that if you choose to live at The Marquee, you will have roommates whether you like it or not. You'll be living with ROACHES because this place is INFESTED. I'm not the person to write a business a bad review, but when I've had enough, that's when I draw the line. Prior to moving in, the marquee kept pushing the move in dates twice because the unit wasn't ready. Which was understandable. ( should've taken that as a sign not to sign the lease). Move in date comes and there was still things that needs fixing. Pictures of the unit is beautiful, but it's actually poorly renovated. The paint is peeling off. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. There is never any parking if you come home after a certain time. For assigned parking there is an additional $50 charge. I saw roaches and had to constantly contact the office for peat control. The management company sucks. How do they increase or remove a concession without proper notification to residents ! I been living here for over a year and just signed another year wish I didn't just because their management is the worst part of it and if u have a bad management guess what u are not gna be enjoying ur place or place u live at ... and my home is my sanctuary shouldn't be my enemy ... but SHELLY the assistant manager ... she is the rudest unprofessional individual I have ever came across ... My experience Here has been nothing but horrible,I feel I have made the worst choice. I have few cars and I paid for extra parking .... my cars have been vandalized and damaged staying in this property. The management clearly mentioned that they are not responsible for it. They don't mention that they don't have cameras in the property and safety is a another issue here. All you smell is weed on the weekend. The main secured gate is broken or open. I've had my ups and downs with this place. What kept me here for awhile was the idea of safety but that's out the window now that the staircase has been graffitied and my car has been broken into. It's right in front of a park, which is great for morning walks with the pup but also why I think they struggle with crime. It's not the front gate that's the problem, it's the gate from the park. Currently locked outside my apartment because the doorknob got jammed on a quick run to my car. Two different apartment keys attempted to open it, but it won't budge. Turns out "emergency maintenance" doesn't actually pick up the phone. Meanwhile, my dinner is burning in the oven and the whole place may be burned down by morning at this rate, so probably don't plan on living here.
