The food is always delicious and served with a smile. The muscles are phenomenal and priced accordingly. There is something for everyone and if food allergies are of concern, they are always most accommodating.
Great location! Great appetizers! Entires were not up to expectation. Coconut shrimp tasted more like a dessert, and the shrimp were overlooked. Rotessorie chicken was very dry and tough to eat. Service was marginal as the restaurant was crowded and more staff should have been on hand. If I go back I will only order appetizers and a salad.
We reserved The Oar for outdoor dining to celebrate the birthday of one of our daughters. The 8 of us were placed in an outdoor dining area where we were allowed to move around and change seats without inteferring with other diners. The service and the food was great, especially the Lobster Quesadea and the Mahi Mahi with Lobster Risotto. The children loved The Oar Burger. We will visit again.
I've eaten at The Oar several times but this was the best. The PEI Mussels were out of this world and the baked clams and coconut shrimp were fantastic. Pan seared tilapia, fish tacos, grilled mahi mahi and a chicken milanese salad were all well prepared, tasty and served expertly. The service was wonderful and the beautiful scenery made for a delightful end-of-a-long-weekend visit.
This was our first time and we really enjoyed ourselves. Food was wonderful.
We had a wonderful waiter and very good water service. However of our group of seven four of us ordered the coconut shrimp dinner. We four agreed the shrimp was very dry and over cooked. We did not complain or send it back but in retrospect for the price of the dinner we should have.
We had a reservation and was seated promptly, the only problem was the table was right near the outside bar. I asked for a better table, but They said no other tables were available and it was extremely noisy. Food was fair, we tried the baked clams and lobster quesadillas. Came here for my brothers 30th and had a great time! The oar staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time!
I had the lobster special for lunch and it was great, everyone loved their dish our friend had the lobster ravioli and is still happy about it. great day wonderful view......enjoyable.
